I hope this is the place to post this. Not a heli only event but helis welcome.
Next Saturday my club (HRRC-Hampton Roads Radio Control Club ) Is having their first Toys 4 Tots Fly In

Their will be a real full size, not a model US Marine Corps CH-46 Sea Knight Helicopter

Hampton Roads Radio Control Club,
Suffolk, VA Toys 4 Tots Fly In
November 17, 2007
Come join the member s of HRRC in supporting Toys For Tots. We will
host a fly in with all proceeds going to the Toys For Tots Foundation. Even
if you don’t fly, please attend and bring a new, unwrapped toy.
The day’ s events will include:
US Marine Corps CH-46 Sea Knight Helicopter
Flying – Pilot meeting at 0900, landing fee – new, unwrapped toy
First 20 pilots to register receive a grab bag!
Food available with cash donation
Air Show / Buddy Box Flying (For those guests that don’t normally fly)
Raffle – Prizes supplied by Eagle Hobby, Debbies RC World, Hobbytown
USA, Craftech, Atlanta Hobby, Great Planes and Tower Hobbies.
More Flying
Helicopter pilot s welcome. We will designate 15 minutes of flying time
every hour for our vertical flying friends.

Directions to the Field
Take I-64 East to Route 58/460 West. Follow Rt 58 /460 West to Rt 10/32 North (make a right
turn at the exit). Continue North 5.9 miles and make a right onto Pembroke Lane (across from
Oakland Elementary School).
The flying site is 1 1/4 miles on the left.

The 1st HRRC Toys For Tots Fly In was a huge success with almost $1400.00 in cash raised and 134 toys collected! We had about 45 registered pilots and the impound rack was overflowing with transmitters!
I wish a few more helicopters showed up, I counted 4 but I figured some of you might want to see the US Marine Corps CH-46 Sea Knight Helicopter. Heres a link to the video
