Hi All,
Just thought that I'd let you know that Phoenix has modeled the Swift. I spent some time last night and this morning flying it. It's pretty good. Seems that it might not require as much pitch pumping during rolls, but otherwise it's a pretty good representation of the real thing. Could be that they modeled it with a 3700 battery instead of the 5000 that I'm using. I haven't tried tweaking the weight, but I might do that.
If some of you guys are getting ready for a few months of hibernation, you might want to check out the Phoenix Simulator. It's truly awesome. (I'm especially impressed with the TRex600N which seems spot on.) It's helped me get some new maneuvers under my belt on my real 600N. Did my first funnels, tic tocs, and cascades (1/4 inside loop, 1/2 backwards outside loop, 1/4 inside loop) thanks to the sim.
I've had it almost two weeks, and I'm getting in over an hour a day practice (yes, I'm addicted). They also have demos available for download that teach you how to do some of the tougher maneuvers, like the chaos and others. The viewer shows the heli and the transmitter and can be slowed down for review.
The Sim really rocks and is a great investment for only $159. No, I'm not sponsored by Phoenix. I just wish I would have had the sim last summer. I'd be a lot better flyer by now.
Keep 'em flying.

PS Radio Control Helicopter magazine rated RealFlight G3.5 as a better sim than the Phoenix. Don't be fooled. I own both and Phoenix is twice the simulator that G3.5 is. G3.5 messed up my flying last summer so much that I quit using it. Phoenix has already helped my flying considerably. Just don't want you to make the same mistake I did.
