What size/pitch pinions are you guys using in your brushless setups on BCCP's for 3D?
I'm trying to hop my stock BCCP up a little for winter.

I just purchased the eflight Park 370 (4100Kv) motor and hooked it up with a 20A ESC. I'm using the 3-1 to power the tail motor(GSW - DD).
I tried using the pinions that came with the motor, but they don't seem to mesh well with the stock BCCP main gear. I'm guessing it is the wrong pitch pinion?
The correct pitch on the BCCP pinion is .5 correct? I did not see any mention of what pitch the 2 pinions that came with the Park370 are.. maybe .4? I tried setting the gear mesh light and it toasted the main gear...

What Lipo's are good power/weight combo for good 3D on a brushless CP?

Yes you will have to be careful of that. The pitch is different. I am not sure of the number of teeth but I used a pinion that had to be pressed on the the brushless shaft. I wish I could be more help but I am at work right now

On the stock brushed motor I've used HPI Racing Micro RS4 (http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXBGE5&P=ML) pinion gears.

Just checked Horizon Hobby and the motor you mention has a 2mm shaft. (4100k inrunner?) I believe the stock motor is also a 2mm shaft. :D

Just use the 10 tooth pinion from the stock BCPP motor, 10 tooth is just right for that motor. You will need a pinion puller to get it off, but it works perfect once its on.

E-Flite reccomends an 8 tooth pinion,Part # EFLM1949.I have this on my pro,but I dont do any 3-D yet.It has been a little strange getting used to a higer head speed but I'm happy with it. Paul
