I bought a Futaba 6 channel PCM receiver for my TRex 450. After the receiver arrived in the mail, I noticed on the back of the box it is in, it says to use nicd batteries only. My question is, since the power is going through a sec/bec first, can I go ahead and use it with the LiPo? Will that damage the receiver?

It is fine to use a BEC to power the receiver. There is a lot of the servos that still have to use nicad batteries only still on the package. The receiver does not know or care where the power is coming from as long as it is the right voltage. 5.1 to 6 volts will work fine.

Thanks for the info. I'll plug it in. Just wanted to make sure I wouldn't fry the thing. I'm still kind of new to this, especially with the electric copters.
