I'm sure this has been asked before but I cannot find it...

Which motor is better suited for the Trex 600N Sport ?

Thanks,
John

Both are good engines. I prefer the OS just because they’re cheaper and parts are more readily available. You’ll have similar maintenance issue with either one.

Thanks, I'll go with the OS50.

The YS will last longer and has a pressurized fuel system which is much better than the OS.Parts are easy to find and cost about the same as the OS. My choice is the YS

Another vote for the YS; it doesn't lean out toward the end of the tank. With the crankcase pressurized system you fuel delivery is consistant throughout.

the YS is also the stronger of the engines, combined with the stock align pipe, you have arguably the most powerful setup for a 600. i tried a setup with this motor and pipe and its way noticablly stronger than the best OS setup. the cost is higher though for a YS and yes parts are very difficult to find.

Parts are easy to find and get. Just call Richard @ YS Parts and Service.com. He has all of the parts you'll ever need.

YS...hands down.

Best 50 motor ive had by far, for the extra $30, I think its well worth the extra money.

I totally agree with Jason. I have one of each, and the YS is by far a better engine. Don't get me wrong... I like my OS too. It's alot easier to tune and maintain. However, once you get the YS dialed in and running right, it is AMAZING! I fly both of them as often as I can.

Everybody over at RR says the YS is harder to tune but if tuned right is a little better performer. I think if you have to ask which motor is better your not at the level where you would know the difference between the two.

From what I've read the OS is easier to tune and I'm sure it puts out more then enough power for 90% of us who are average shmucks.

Either way their both great motors so you really can't go wrong.
