Hi.

I've programmed my throttle cut, and I'm able to turn it on (motor off), at the lower aprox. 4 mm. stick.

Is it possible to program this function to only work in normal mode, and thereby be unable to turn the motor off in idle-up or throttle hold ?

Throttle cut setting procedure
1. Touch the "INH" button to activate the
Throttle Cut function.
2. Throttle cut function switch setting:
Touch the "NULL" button to call the <Switch>
screen, and then select the switch and its ON
direction.
(For a detailed description of the selection
method, see [Switch Setting Method] at the
back of this manual.)
3. Throttle cut position setting:
Set the throttle stick to maximum slow, and
touch the Cut Position button. Adjustment
buttons appear. At the same time, the
numerical value of the current maximum
slow side is displayed at "Cut Position".
Use the adjustment buttons to adjust the
servo travel when the throttle cut function is
activated.
●Initial value: 17%
●Adjustment range: 0%~50%
*With throttle stick at idle, adjust the rate until the engine
consistently shuts off, but throttle linkage is not binding.
When fi nished, touch the “Throttle Cut” button to exit.
To exit the setting, touch the [Throttle Cut]
button.

Throttle cut provides an easy way to stop the
engine, by fl ipping a switch with the throttle stick
at idle. The action is not functional at high throttle
to avoid accidental dead sticks. The switch’s
location and direction must be chosen, as it defaults
to NULL

The above from page 65 of the manual.
Throttle cut only works when at idle. If you have throttle curves set above idle at low stick in idle ups , throttle cut will not work in idle up. It works on throttle curve positon not stick position.

Hi.

Thank You for Your fast reply.

I'm setting up a new model, and havent flown it yet.

Something is wrong here, my throttle cut works on stick position, not throttle curve position. In idle up my throttle curve starts at -100% -> Rate +65%, and in this position, I'm able to use throttle cut.

I've followed Your setup procedure, and nothing was changed, except the initial cut value was set at 26%, and I changed it to 17% (becausse my normal mode throttle curve starts at aprox 15% for motor idle point).

How do I make the cut function follow my curve instead of stick ?

Throttle Cut and Throttle Hold are in the same menu. You sure which one your setting is the one you want to throttle cut. Throttle Hold will move the engine to idle or off no matter where the throttle stick or throttle curve is located.

I'm pretty sure that it's not messed up, but just to make sure, I've attached my program.

Thank You for Your help, so far.

Hi there.
I also find the same thing with the 14MZ; the Throttle Cut function works only on the actual stick position, not the throttlecurve. This means that even in Idle-ups, the Throttle Cut works as long as the stick is in the lower position. I find it pretty weak that the 14MZ does not have the Throttle Cut work related to the actual throttle-curve (as the 9C, etc does)
I hope Futaba makes a change in this in the next firmware-release.

David: I think you are referring to the Throttle Hold (Cut) and the Throttle Hold (Idle), that are located in the Model Menu under Throttle Hold.
The Throttle Cut function is located in the Linkage Menu.
