Same frame layout but it has a programmable head like the rest of Min Air stuff ;) This head also has a lot more throw

No its not the same. IMO the Beam is basically a T-Rex made from better materials.

The XCell Bandit 450 (it has a name now) was designed based on the geometry and material characteristics that have made the XCell line so successful. Thats why its faster and quicker than its competition. Its also pretty durable so you won't have to worry about it getting all sloppy after just a few flights either.

There's only so many ways to organize the physical parts and still maintain the right parts relationships and weight distributions

Good Point. There are limitations in design based on electronics used, weight, balance, etc.

Any updates as far as release?

no update on a date yet, but if you visit the MA homepage, you'll see some photos of the parts being made

It should be available in larger qtys initially than is normal for MA

I noticed Align just released the new 500 already. Seems they can put out helis quite fast.

Any chance of seeing this heli before late summer 2008, like the delays the Razor had? Don't mean to be sarcastic but not sure why it takes so darn long for MA to get kits out?

Also, sure hope they have a canopy in the box this time, preferably a fiberglass canopy considering the price and quality of MA kits.

If MA wants to stay in this "new" competitive market they need to get things done a bit quicker IMO? Releasing a 450 class heli this late in the ballgame when the market is totally overwelmed with product???????

Sorry for the rant but we see more and more pilots flying other brands of helis the last few years and MA seems to be a somewhat smaller "club" now instead of the leader in helis as it once was.
