I can't find the price of the Extreme to IonX kit. I'm looking for this as I might buy a nice secondhand Extreme. I don't think its worth the wait for the IonX2 since I plan to fly 12s5000.

I have been asking around myself and have not heard anything.

You pretty much just need to buy the Ion-X2 conversion kit. It will have about 95% of everything you will need.
Canopy mounts and some linkages will be about the only things you would need in addition to the conversion kit.
You can get the conversion kit directly from M.A.
I don't know if the conversion kits to the Ion-X are still being made.

You will ot be able to fly 12s 5000 on the original Ion and still put the canopy on would he Jon and Dan? I don't think it would fit if I remember correctly. He would need the centerline X2 setup I think to fit 5000 6s packs.

I don't think the conversion is listed on thier site but they have them. Just give them a call. Price is about $300.
Will is right. The original Ion will not fit 12s 5000 packs under the canopy.
I was able to stuff some 12s 3700 packs under there but it stretched and cracked the canopy.

You may need a few more parts Laurens to complete it. Jon would be the one to talk to about that.
Good luck with your new Ion!! They fly better than any machine I have ever flown, but when you crash, you definitely pay for it. IMHO it is worth it, but I have had a crash that cost over 600, not including packs or blades or electronics. You know how that goes.... Fly quality, pay for quality....
