My frenz accidently reversed the polarity of his tx battery upon popping into his tx after charging with his charger (not the overnite charger that comes with it), now it just reluctant to power up, he said that there is a long beep once, and now unable to use. so i was wondering if anyone here knows how to fix it, maybe by replacing some fuses or how. thanks.

Probably the diode is bad. This would be on the charge jack circuit board. Not really a diode, but a reverse polarity switch that prevents this from happening. I can't remember exactly what it is called.

hi david thanks for the reply, but i think i have misunderstood what my frenz said. ok here is what he did :

- remove the battery, charge with external charger
- put back in (but might have reversed the polarity into the tx)
- switch on, hear a long beep, screen fade off
- switch off and on again, same thing.
- 3rd time, no response
- try later again, same beep for 1st 2 times on power up, 3rd time no response again

so we are not sure what we can do to fix it up. any help here would be appreciated. thanks.

Andy,
Thanks, I could not remember what the heck that device was called. LOL

I was looking for it on Tower. Just couldn't remember the name of it.

My 9C battery has a little tab on the connector that prevents me form plugging it in backwards, did he cut his off?
