It looks like Readyheli is out of the 5A Western Robotic BEC and I was wondering if the 3.5A model is fine for running something like 3x S9452 + 8900G or 3x BLS451 + 8900G on a Logo 500? There seem to be a lot of 3.5A models to choose from but the only other 5A BEC I came across was the Quark-Pro.

I did not have any issues with a 3.5A on my 600mm heli with 9451's.

There is the Ultimate BEC that is 6v 6A. Hobby Lobby stocks them.

So far, my $25 Castle Creations 10amp BEC is doing a fine job for me...

There's nothing wrong with the ALign regulators - plently available and cheap and I have had no issue with ~x6 of the 3A and 6A varieties - personally I would avoid the 3A sorts esp when used with a DX7 with a long reset time if voltage dipped.

I had some concerns about how to power mine, so i did some tests.
For 36/72 mhz radio gear the 3.5 should be enough provided it can do what is claimed.

All of my Trex600 videos had the Medusa 3.5a 6v bec on 9451's. Worked fine for me on 50mhz as well as 2400.

Just for the record....this BEC is only rated for a maximum input of 6s. I was looking at one of these last night.

I've also used the Medusa 3.5A 6V on a 10s machine with 9451's successfully.
