Gday everyone, Has anyone out there mounted a Carbsmart on a Raptor 50? im having trouble figuring out a good mounting position for the servo.

If anyone has any pics or info it would be much appreciated.

Cheers, Andrew

I do not have the carbsmart but I did get an adjustable needle for the OS Hyper 50, put a servo on it so I can adjust it from the transmitter. It didnt work because the needle had to be turned way to far to effect the mixture at all. Tapering the needle would fix this problem.

In the editorial section of the most recent MHT magazine it looks like the Carbsmart comes with a bracket to clamp around the original needle so you should not have this problem. BTW MHT will have a review of the Carbsmart in an upcoming mag.

Anyway, I tail mounted the rudder servo and put the servo for adjusting the high side needle where the rudder servo was. If you have push pull pitch control, the space on your servo tray will be taken up by it. Perhaps you can use a smaller servo in the same space as the push pull pitch, after all you dont need torque for this aplication.

Hmm there's a few ideas out there. You may need to get creative. I haven't gotten one yet so I can't give you my own ideas.

The picture in the first post looks like a good way to do it. Not sure about clearance on the canopy bracket though. The slimline servo is a great idea.
