I recently had a crash that ruined my MP5. I really liked this pipe but I have heard some great things about the align pipe but mainly for the OS Hyper haven't really heard anything for the YS. Does anyone have some comparisons of the 2 pipes on the YS motor? Thanks in advance.

The Align pipe is the way to go for the YS

Or a hatori #522 is awesome on both engines :)

I´ve got the Hatori H522 from a friend. And the YS makes so much power. Thats just awesome. I gonna buy the Alignpipe because it looks nicer as the Hatori in my eyes and produce the same power ;)

I flew the MP5 and then the Align pipe back to back (swapped pipes out between two flights) - the Align pipe makes ridiculous power compared to the MP5.

Would that be ridicolous more or ridicolous less power??

Thank you for the feedback, I've heard teh MP2 is great....but it's tough to find one. I am assuming too that you were referring to the Align pipe making more power then the MP5?

I'm guessing he means more power:D

IMO the Align pipe is the best. I've been flying the Hatori and it makes good power . . . after a crash I switched to the Align and it WOKE UP!!! Another guy I fly with uses the MP2, it also seems to work well.

I've got the Align pipe on my OS 50/ 600N. Yes its alot more torque this pipe develops vs the TT pipe I had on it.. You can even hear the gears grind at fast assends. Expect to break parts with the extra power.

So you mean there is a difference between the Hatori and Alignpipe? I thougt both would make the same torque?

That's what I thought (they'd be the same). . . I've been flying Hatori pipes since the 80's (mostly in pattern planes) and swear by them. Anyway, originally the only reason I bought the Align pipe was because of it's looks and I saw Jason Kraus fly it at XFC and IRCHA. Anyway, I installed the Align pipe after a crash and used in the same bird (actually the new bird) there is no comparison . . . the Align works better (this is my opinion based on my own experience) They both work very well, but the Align's better.

I throw my hat into the Align ring as well. I just switched to the Align pipe from the Hatori SB50 because of the all the positive comments I've seen. I wasn't expecting much and I was shocked. I'm using a 50 hyper and it produces noticeably more power with the Align pipe.

The hatori 50SB is a two chamber pipe while the align (and hatori #522 for that matter) is a three chamber pipe. Thats why the align and the 522 work so well :)

Don't confuse the 50SB (Hatori USA) with the 522 (Hatori Japan)
