Heard some bad reports about overheating when you set the gyro to digital, so don't use the digital setting on the GY401.
I use the S3153 (with digital setting) and it flies perfect during sport-flying, once I'm going for some 3D flying (I'm still learning :) ) I'll know if it's strong enough for that.
If you plan to do some 3d and fast backward figures and want to be sure it holds, i would recommend a stronger servo like a S9650.
I also used the bb speed when i started in January, the S3153 is much better IMO.

JR DS3400G, best tail servo I have used so far on a Mini Titan/Trex 450

Flying happily with a Futaba S9650 and GY401, Seriously thinking of using the DS3400G though..

Hi

Go for a 9257, it works really well on 4.8V.
Mine worked perfectly with a gy401, but I had a few problems with the CSM 720. They were solved by using another hole on the servo horn !

Go with the 401 and 9650...great combo, check out Rick's for the lowest price online. I think both together came to $180.
