Looks good to me. I get my HDX450SE V3 for Christmas...can't wait!

To be honest, I dont care how they look. What I would be interested in is a slightly larger canopy, that my friend would be an improvement. The current canopy is a pain to put on with a 3S battery

Thank you

a larger canopy would be great....and why does it have to look so much like all the other canopies out there....how about a different shape?

come on guys....if you are going to design a new canopy how about thinking alittle more "outside the box"....

We can do things out of the box. Here is just one sample. More to come.

How about a 3DMP looking one or a roxxter looking one? I like exotic looking canopies which can give the same heli a different look. Also one with a larger compartment space will be greatly appreciated.

You Guys are heading in the right direction.:noteworthy

How about Clear lexan (or what ever they made the car and truck bodies with) so that the painting is done on the inside.

These could be offerred as an extra same as the FG. or be part of the original kits.:YeaBaby:

If these are made they will have to be a little "roomier" to protect the paint.

The white clorox bottles have run their course.

My next heli is probably going to be an HDX500 some time in early spring.

A listing of the dimensions (min-Max) for the servos in the web description would be helpful, Is there enough room for s full sized digital servos in the HDX500?

What are critical dimensions for servos on the 450?

How about recreating the heliworkz mini 3DMP frame kit since heliworks is out right now. Couple that with scaled down 3DMP canopy and you're in business.

Please enlarge it for the 500- that bottom air intake will be great for cooling the motor and elecs.
I am busy converting my 500 canopy to get rid of the trapped hot air in the nose

you mean use this canopy and scale it bigger for HDX500?

or also need to enlarge the bottom hole?

Yes please , enlarge it for the HDX500.
At first , I had my ESC mounted above the battery , in front of the motor . With the entire front of the canopy enclosed , it trapped all the hot air in the nose, no ventilation. I cut slots ( or openings) in the bottom of the canopy and the battery is a bit cooler. I also mounted the ESC on the side of the frame
A bonus was , that I can now run the battery lead out the bottom of the canopy -HDX450 style- and connect / disconnect the battery without having to take the canopy off

Very nice and sleek canopy design ....If I may make a suggestion might try making a small openning along the rim of the black outline of the canopy . just along the front , so air will be inducted straight inward as ..(Like the vents on the dash of a car ) and line it with meshing It would allow direct air flow to blow across the ESC in flight .as well disipate any heat inside while in a hover.

How about a 450 canopy that looks like the old MA X-Cell Pro?
