The new Jive line by Kontronik has all been posted. Status is still unavailable as you said, but yes, it is an ESC that I am looking forward to trying out as well. It is looking to be a heavyweight (84g) performer at up to 12S!

Ah, sorry. They got split up, and my reading comprehension apparently is lacking :noteworthy

I just got through updating the lists with many new lipos, ESCs, and motors. All the brushless motors from E-Flite have been added to the list as well as the complete updated line from Medusa Research. There are now over 1400 different motors listed! Let me know if you guys see anything else that needs to get added and help me and your fellow hobbyists out by posting up a link.

Well guys, it looks like Align will be carrying lipos with your choice of either ThunderPower or JST-XH balance connectors on their new packs. I have added all their new lipos to the lists by model number with the balance connector type indicated. Lots of other products have also been added including 100s of servos. Here's a recap of what's listed:

I wish I had found this post earlier.

I have a Equinox Lipo Balancer that has the JST-XH connector and bought an AlignKX850173TA that has the ThunderPower connector as your table shows.

Where I bought it had none of this important detail in its listing so I am stuck changing the connector on this one.

I will say a BIG THANKS for the data so I can make better purchases in the future.

You are welcome! I wish I could have saved you the inconvenience of purchasing devices with incompatible balance connectors.

Some people prefer to swap connectors, but most guys just solder up some form of adapter. Adapters are also made for about five bucks that convert 2.5 mm pin spacing (ThunderPower) to 2.5 mm spacing (JST-XH) which come in pretty handy:

Excellent resource. I can see that you have put a lot of time into this. I had recently started something for my personal research using google spreadsheet and I know how long that took for about 15 batteries!!

One thing that would make searching for that perfect battery pack would be to have filters for each heading. eg mAh >1000 & <1500, discharge rate >15C weight < 120g

That has been one of the problems with how things are currently set-up using an Excel spreadsheet converted to HTML with a basic script to sort and filter.

I lack the experience and know-how to set-up a database system which would allow for a much more advanced interface and queries, but I was recently contacted by another hobbyist through RCG who volunteered to help in writing a database back-end to better manage and present the data.

For example, some preset queries can be set-up to allow for filters such as the one you recommended. I am excited to see what can be done and welcome any and all ideas on ways to make it better.

Thanks!

I saw a tech news article about some new web services that are available. One that particularly caught my eye was Blist (http://www.blist.com/). It's an online database application. Seems you can import your data from excel to get the database started. If you haven't made any progress converting your data to a database, or just want something as an interim facility, it might be worth taking a look at.

Thanks for the info BritOnTour! Another hobbyist has volunteered his help and we are well into developing this information into a more usable, database format.

Great info though and I will certainly check into it a little more. Look for great improvements in the weeks ahead.

Another huge round of updates has been made to many of the lists:

http://progressiverc.com/Research.html

http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k48/write2dgray/CurrentList.jpg

Revisions include newly added links for manuals, a new page for dedicated discharge devices, as well as the following category revisions:

Batteries - Lots of new brand son the market, hundreds of new 25C and 30C lipos, and some new A123 cells from K2.

Brushless Motors - Too many to list, over 300 added including many new offerings from Scorpion, Free Air, Hurricane Flight Systems, Hyperion, and dozens of smaller brands.

Brushless ESCs - New ESCs with switching BECs from many of the top manufacturers including E-Flite, AirPower, Extreme Flight, Hurricane Flight Systems, Hyperion, Mega Power (with data logging like the Jeti Spins), Mystery, Rite Hobby, and Scorpion. A field for BEC type specification has been added for ESCs to designate linear or switching type BEC. Also added are many new larger ESCs in the 60-120 amp range and some new HV ESCs.

Gyros - One dozen new gyros that have recently hit the market.

Chargers - New products from Bantam, iCharger, DN Power, E-Flite, Integy, and Schulze. A column has also been added to show input voltage range and discharge specifications.

Balancers - More than a dozen new balancers including a new offering from Bantam, models with digital displays, and a 12S, 10A balancer from MegaPower.

Too many changes to list, another small step towards providing a comprehensive list of products in this ever-changing world of RC products. Exciting times - enjoy and have fun flying!

The RC product lists have received a long overdue update with tons of added products and updated prices. Here are just a few of the products now listed:

Many new motors including Reaper Brushless and new stuff from Scorpion
Batteries: Added Thunder Power "Pro Power" and "ProLite V2," new CellPro Red Label, updated LiFE pricing and links
Added FMA Direct Quazar ESCs
74 new chargers including new iChargers, Graupner, Bantam, and MegaPower

There is now a column added for the 2,000+ batteries which shows the max. continuous recommended current draw (Cont. A) for any given battery.

A column has also been added to many of the pages for product manuals and many links are now populated.

Attached is an updated recap of the information listed by product type.

Great work on the Listing really helpful when looking for cheap packs. Question: some these companies I have never seen or heard of before (Ex: True RC). Has anyone bought from these companies before? Are they legit?
Thanks!

I bought some True R/C packs for my CX/2 and they puffed after a few cycles. I never did contact them for support, so maybe they would have made good on them. Dunno, but that's my experience.

Thanks for the compliments guys - I hope it has proven useful.

As for brands of lipos, I have tried many, but not all of them. I do have a couple of small 2S 700 mAh TrueRC lipos that have stood the test of time and performed quite well.
