I understand that this may come across as a lot cheesy, but I don't care. Its my last day of work before a long weekend. I was a little board and discovered that Mikado is an out-dated, un-used term for ermperor of Japan.
Maybe we should change the meaning to Emperor of Helis and all bow to Mikado for making such sweet birds.

They left out one definition..... Mikado - The best 3D flying, highest quality and cleaverly designed R/C heli sold. No R/C heli carries ALL those traits and that's a fact Jack.

I wish i could start a argument and disagree with you... but i just cant bring myself to do that :( cause it's a really nice heli... atleast the new models (apart from canopy and LG).
Mikado arent the only who make nice helis, but they do have new tech design on their + side
Mikado should make a very small heli to, just for those rainy/cold days we have to fly indoor.
This thread really shows that we all have moment that just goes to waste...

It's not perfect.... I agree but if you look it as a whole (flight characteristis, quality of parts, design) nothing can touch it in it's class.
The canopy and parts expense are the downs for me :?. On the LG just drill a hole in it and run screws in. The skids won't move then. Use Nylon screws to attach the gear to the heli....Done! :happyd
I was thinking about them making a 450 the other day. If they pull it off as good as the 500 & 600 I will be first in line!! Their is always the Spike that Any Rummer flies. But it's $$$$. In the 450 class NOTHING can touch it! 4,000rpm headspeed and vbar.....damn.
Mikado seams to do very little to market there birds. Maybe they just go more by word of mouth and funfly demos than anything.
