Official OC california heli flyers

I've been quite nice. between biking and school and various other things, I've kept busy. I'm not rich enough for a carbon bike, so its only aluminum. might get a titanium one if i make a surplus over the summer, but thats a good bit away.

I havn't ridden at night past doing urban stuff, but im working on building up some lights (like the one above)so that i can. should be pretty sweet. 500 lumens, ~60G weight, 2.5 hr runtime using 3s 2170 lipos. only about 80 bucks each without batteries. and they'll have carbon fiber on them :YeaBaby:

if anyone wants to buy a housing i'll be making a bunch :roll:

I have a nice Park stand for your bike been sitting in my shop collecting dust since i quite mountain biking few years back, also have a comlete night set up that you might be able to convert to a lipo.

i was looking at a bike mag today and saw 180 lumin light for $299 and it has 3 hr runtime. if you want to be different try making it recharge while riding in daytime.

Just had to post. As of an hour ago, I did my first inverted! Three successful flips, with sustained inverted each time on my Mini Titan. tracking issues are popping up a higher headspeeds, so I bit the bullet and ordered the Kasama head.

darn you are pro now ;) . yes go for kasama head, they are way better than stock or thunder tiger alum upgrade

i got couple packs with my 500 yestesday and today at AP . this thing fly nice :)

Jim's got me pretty set on a TREX600 or a Logo 500 for my next bird. I want a big bird, that can fly in wind, with authority.

Should I be considering the TREX500, or should I just go 600 and forget it?

And I dunno about pro. Let me get my heli to where high headspeed doesn't knock the blades outta track by like an inch and a freakin half and we'll see if I can sustain that inverted a little longer.

Anybody gonna be at Irvine this Saturday?

i think he meant to say screw the 500. but i agree the 600 is the best bargain for the money plus there is miles of upgrades and spares. the logo is a good contender also. both are my favorite in windy conditions like last sunday, 10- 20mph.. no problem..

Hey Aox, make sure you order some Align links and balls to use on your new Kasama Head, or else it will be a stiffy. If you don't, your links might pop off like they did on my old Mini-T with K-Head, untill I changed them out.

Irvine will filling up this weekend, AP get soccers games all this weekend, was at AP flying with Bulleyes today, they are areally setup soccer gear for the weekend. i will be in Irvine for sure :)

I heard From Mike @ 3rd degree, there is soccer tomorrow till 12ish and on sunday all day. And they will be back next weekend also. Boy I sure hate anything soccer these days

FYI for folks that might come out to the Irvine FIeld. Police have come out a few times before, but today they asked us about liability insurance. We told them about the AMA. At this point anyone that comes out to fly needs to have AMA to fly there as we don't want to get kicked out!

Yea, AMA is good to have. I just renewed my AMA last night.

Was gonna come to the Irvine field till I mapped it and found out it was more than an hour's drive away!! :Owned

No AMA no fly! Renewed tonight wont cut it unless you bring a print out of the receipt that the AMA site allows you to pull.... If you give me your AMA number I can check it. The AMA web site allows anyone to check on a AMA number to see if it is current and one renewed tonight will show up.

Where is the Irvine field anyway? If someone can PM me with directions, I'd appreciate it. I've got my scaler re-geared and want to try it out now.

They'll accept a valid wallet-size 2008 AMA card, right? My sig has my AMA #, and it seems to be a pretty low number compared to many I've seen.
