Where is the Irvine field anyway? If someone can PM me with directions, I'd appreciate it. I've got my scaler re-geared and want to try it out now.
They'll accept a valid wallet-size 2008 AMA card, right? My sig has my AMA #, and it seems to be a pretty low number compared to many I've seen.
Yes the AMA card is all that is needed.

flew today @ AP with RON, :)
Yahoo all my heli and parts are really for weekend. 2 extra pair of carbon main blade for 600, extra pack for trex 500. ;)
i think i am addict to my 500, the 600 is back up heli now. i like the size / the way 500 fly. easy for my eyes not too big to frozen my ba** off hehe parts/ lipos are cheap also better flight time than both my 450 and 600

the weather is going to be shi+ this weekend so I'm working on the helis.whats up with you guys? got my other N9 #2 yesterday, its real nice and a costom canopy too. almost enough spares to rebuild N9 #1.even came with a NIB canopy.got to send my gyros to futaba. see ya.

trex 500 bad vibra
i did hard auto yestesday @AP with trex500 which heli til on 1 side main blades hit ground nothing damage.. after that it got really bad vibra :( . i replace new mainshaft/ flybar but vibra still here :( .
what wrong with 500 ??? any help?

bent tail shaft? if vibe is horiz fin check tail and if vibe is vert fin check head. did you crack the mains? you guys need Finless auto school. what the F.

haha i can do suicide auto with my 600 :nanabobo . but the 500.. first 1 break my landing gear.. second 1 got this problem,, just got back from Rob rc, i am replacing feather shaft and tail shaft.
Bulleyes. Rob carry metal tail case for the 500 .. you better hurry up hehe

I havent flown for a few months and Im getting rusty.
After 4mins run time slight power loss occurs everytime I hit full throttle/collective is it normal?, should I use a smaller pinion to have a more consistent runs?, or use a bigger capacity lipo or higher C rating?

welcome back tom, is the lipo new or has it been sitting for a while? you may have to cycle it a few times. was lipo cold from being in your car or garage before use?

btw, the slight power loss that im talking about is just around 10% not to much.

finless and me have been cycling bateries to help bring them back . and it works. we had some lipos that didnt have any power after about 2m, so i began to charge and discharge them every weekend and about 4 - 5 cycles later they come back to life. just dont get them too hot and they will be ok. what you flying??

Did anybody fly Irvine this afternoon?
Left my starter behind on the field this mourning and when I noticed I didn’t pick it up I went back again this evening and it was gone.
If anybody found a starter please let me know.

So much for the bad weather early on today. It was gorgious this morning, I got 4 paks in across the street from my house is a sweet lemon tree grove.:) Tomorrow's weather will hopefully give me time to finish my 600.

I got about 3 flights in around 3 pm @AP, between showers. The wind was bad but it sure blew the storm clouds out of there fast.
