they may have practice, but there will no real soccer game tommorrow. they usually set up equiment a day early for soccer game. "they set the field up on friday for sat games" however, they clean all the field now.. so there no way they will have games tommorrow.

I can promise, I won't. :YeaBaby:

Is the Irvine field ok from all the rain? A little grass wouldn't hurt anything there.

Hey Jim: You said not to shim my 91 Cspec and everything I've read says to do so. I trust your opinion. I'm tempted to shim it with an extra head gasket.

I've also read about mixing 10% with 30% 50/50 ratio.
.
I bought an OS mix control valve assembly 60k from tower hobby and it has a different fuel inlet than the stock one, at least that is my understanding.

What should I do? I want to get this thing working without any headache's and of course I want as much power as I can get.

I"m pretty sure the engine I have is NOT a newer one.

our field rules are :
(1) all pilots must demonstrate a steady nose in hover for 30+seconds.
(2) all pilots must perform autorotation at end of each flight from 20ft or more.
(3) all pilots shall use spektrum or 2.4 radios.
(4) all pilots must listen to advise from Finless, then apply it.

regaurdless of its mfg date. it should run fine on 30% and stock head gasket. dont mix fuel!! did someone alter this engine or was it NIB?

you got it bro, this coming weekend should be sunny according to the forcast. I know finless will want in on it so we got to make him start auto inverted , nose down wind.hehehe, so what about Trooper ? better practice those autos ,get on the sim fly nose in auto. you too Long!! best way to end any flight is the auto, its the only trick you get fly for free no motor or nitro. Lowflyer knows auto, i your" suicide auto" will require hard hats.JK guys ..

It wasn't NIB but it wasn't ran either, nothing has been done to the motor.

I guess I'm going to have to brush up on a lot of things, my nose in hover for one, it's a noobie thing I've got to break.

Jim: your advice is spot on, nose in hover and slow things down. I've been practicing all of this on the sim with very little 3D action.

Auto? crap! As long as you agree to help me fix my Heli's. :YeaBaby:

I know how, I'm just too chicken shit to try it.

It is hard for me to do autos right now because I have not figured out whats wrong with my JR 7703D gyro. The tail just becomes supper sensitive after I flip throttle hold switch meaning at low head speed. Should have gotten the 611 or Solid G but I just hated the weight and 2-piece system. I'm thinking of the Spartan now but that thing looks a little bit cheapy...may be I just go back with a 401...

doesnt play well with others, kinda funny and spot on...i read that you had air in your fuel lines. this is NFG. check your needle settings and get fresh fuel. practice autos with the power on by doing rapid decent toward your landing target. stop the heli a couple feet from the ground and maintain hover to imitate landing, then try again, use normal mode. when i practiced these my battery would get 8 min and be at 75% discharge. practice at left and right then nose in. good luck.

Nose-in won't be an issue, as that only gives me a little case of nerves.

Autos? I can sim 'em, but they're so unrealistically easy in Realflight that I'm sort of paralyzed to find out what they're really like.

After my botched emergency auto on Thursday, I've been practicing autorotation approaches under power to the exclusion of almost all else. I just haven't been able to nut up and pull the hold switch.

However, with the support of Airboss and Finless, I know I'll get there soon. :)

Deal! I'll even have you do it on a familiar and comfortable radio. :)

Which heli would you prefer to box me on, the 600 or the Vibe? The 600 is still on 72mHz, waiting for availability of FASST receivers.

I have no problem with the nose in Bob, I just get a little carried a way some times.
Sorry about the wild loop yesterday, I spaced out for a split second. :YeaBaby:
