Where are people going to be flying Saturday? AP or Irvine or ?? I might be able to get out Saturday, but that's it for this weekend. I've finally got my old pod 'n boom MX400/TRex450 franken-heli  going again to keep my USCG scale'r company. And I got some new red bling for my USCG to match the red on the rest of the body. :YeaBaby:
Definitely can't do it Sunday as I'll be in a long aluminum tube hurtling to Pittsburgh on business all week. :(

What's a turbo?
Suzuki Hayabusa with aftermarket Turbo installed. A friend of mine holds the world speed record at Bonneville on one.
Mine is only geared for 228mph since mine is not a race bike, yet.

That's awesome Mitch 228mph geezus...
SCVHC had a great day with no crashes! We hope the same for you OC guys. Was windy as heck though as in typical SCV fashion.

Had a great day, a few little problems that I got fixed.
The 90 seems to be working good, took some adjusting to get it to run right. Still getting air in the system, it's coming from the return valve on the motor but seems to go away after running it a bit. Engine temps never got over 160 so that's good.
Flew it inverted about 3ft off the ground a few times, more of a hover than flight.
Haven't finished the Scorpion V2 yet. The V1 worked great, power is perfect amount. :banana

I had a great time in Irvine with OC guys. Loved the smoke trails in the sky made by Jim. I got a problem with my engine. It leaned out in middle of the flight and burned the glow plugs. It happened 2 times and in both I saved my heli successfully by autoing. I broke a set of landing gears though.
Here are some pictures...

Great day at Irvine field.
I was flying the Scorpion awesome and really comfortable right up until the point when I dumb thumbed into the ground, screwed up an MG65, that's hard to do, maybe it's fixable? but it is broken. Ruined another main rotor housing, I just got my new replacement the other day and now have to order another one. Upside is that I've got everything for the V2Scorpion but just need to put it together. My nose in flying is getting better and that makes a lot of difference, thanks for the advice Airboss. :YeaBaby:
Good to see you Long, try that McCoy9 glow plug I gave you, see if that is hot enough to not burn out. It's one step higher than what you've been using.

Mitch,
Sorry to hear you crashed. Yeah the HS65 incident I had it looked just like this guys did in the rebuild instructions.

P.S. I hit so hard I bent the link rod and broke the ball link connector! That was in Sept.

No biggy. :smokin: I've learned a lot and I'm having a lot of success with different stuff I'm trying, it's all part of the deal. The next level is right around the corner as long as I keep following the advice I've been given, and I plan to.
A Nitro 600 Trex is next up, can't wait to get that and start flying it. Will probably sell off my 450 stuff and just go Nitro. Love the Nitro!
Maybe not, I like the way the 450s are flying with the scorpion motors. -8 baby!

Selling the CopterX 200 with all the goodies so I can buy a 600N. $450 for everything on the 200, rx and all. I"m loosing a couple bux to do that but I want the 600N more.

MIKE, use minititan metal canopy mount on trex500, it support and hold canopy lot better than align stock plastic
