Anyone's going to the Las Vegas funfly next month? I'm going and hopefully I will fly there.
Heading out for O.C this Saturday. Gotta setup my Spartan though. I don't have a cable now. Luckily, a guy at O.C is willing to let me borrow his.

I'm going to Vegas. I'm travelling alone, so I won't bring the motorhome as I originally planned. Just too much for gas for me to pay by myself.

My understanding is Vegas is not a fun fly but a "competition fly" and thus you all may not be flying just FYI... That's what I was told anyway.

are you guys are talking about the Align Competition in vegas next month? from my understanding it's a competition, not a fun fly.
i was told 450's are NOT able to compete. :(

Fly or not. If you able to make it to LV, you are more than lucky to be there and enjoy the show, most of top pilots will there, don't forget to take lot of pictures guys. I got more work than I can handle right here in OC , can't go anywhere but Irvine and Abort park

From the rockcopter website at http://www.rockcopter.com/rockcopter.php?page=5001
Competition on : Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday
Fun Fly on : Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
Dates : Mar 19-Mar 23, 2008
So, there is an actual funfly, with Friday being the only day that combines the two. Don't worry, there's flying and fun available for all. :)
Actually, since this is now an Align event, I'm hoping they might do some of the fun stuff that they do in Taiwan, like the obstacle course! :)

I crashed my Synergy today at the Basin. The blades, tail boom, torque tube and landing gears were gone. Just got all the parts at zoomsheli and I should be flying tomorrow. I have a whole night to do my job...
See u guys tomorrow!

Your damage still light man, I used learn to fly on that nasty field when I work in north holywood, the hard ground on the field like nothing on irvine or abort park. Every heli crash on the basin cause lot of damage.
Where's everyone flying this weekend?
I was thinking Arbor tomorrow for a change of scenery.

Irvine for me.
When I was at Arbor park last time, there were a bunch of kids playing soccer with airplanes flying over head, the heli's didn't get that far out with exception to a few peeps doing autos.
That didn't set well with me.
Irvine.

High all. Just wondering if anyone could offer some info on sutable locations for flying. some where I might be able to meet others and see how these birds should really be flown. I live in buena park and find it hard to fly at parks that r always packed with bystanders. Any suggestions.? In case u r wondering what i'm doing awake at this time, well i just got home from the bar and decided I want to fly tommorrow. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Mabye I could come out and see some of u guys fly.

Just got back from O.C. The weather did not quite cooperate today. I had 3 good flights and then we got kicked off the field by the security guys.
So I was really pi**ed off and here is the result:

Netdog here is the direction for OCMA flying field From the 55 Freeway, take Chapman Avenue. Go East 8.2 miles. You will pass the entrance to Irvine Lake. Their is no access to the site form the lake entrance. Continue to a left turnout, the address on the sign is 5305 Santiago Canyon Road. The sign says Private Parks. Go down this road to the end and turn right and go along the fence in the roped off area. Stay to the right of the building
