If you park from street. And fly, the guard can't do a darn thing :) . They make trouble because we park and fly right next to private building

I had to refinish my Muscle Pipe after it's 100ft plummet to the earth, it had some deep scratches and this is what it came out like.

A nice flying site in Laguna Niguel where no one will ever hassle you. In fact, the city has sanctioned it as a RC aircraft flying park. No registration, no fees, just AMA membership for liability. Restrooms on site. All are welcome and plenty of parking.

Notes:
Lots of fixed wing Friday afternoon thru Sunday. Do not attempt to fly nitro during evenings, or on the weekends, you'll get run off by the local electric park flyers.
Enjoy!

REally. How do they do that?
And why would I want to go if I can't fly nitro?
Somebody's got to shake it up......

I fly nitro during the week and have never once had a problem, however I go in the morning or early afternoon. During the late afternoons, especially Friday to Sunday, there are a few locals (I am a local that but doesn't care) who claim nitro jeapordizes our flying site due to noise. Right now I would just like to see another heli driver other than myself. Once we have atleast half of the flying then we can get some nitro going. Again, fly all day, just stay away in the late afternoons until there are more of us.

Nothing more than others trying to stop progress. It's gonna happen.
Wouldn't be the first feathers I've ruffled.
Make no mistake, I have the RC Heli hobbies best interest at heart and wouldn't do anything to lose a flying site, but the stuffy old bastards need to move aside and be friendly, we are all into the same thing. Just different versions.
The Heli's are more radical and that puts them off because they can't do it and it's way beyond their flying skills so they don't like it. We'll make friends but we will fly. :cheers
I'm not like the rest, that's why I'm at Helifreak because the others won't have me. The renegade heli site. :Bang

Planks pilots conflic with heli guy, that so F* childish .
I don't see any of that trouble from local fields. AP is most peace field for both plank and helis, there some near mid air crash of heli and plank, I was 1 of them hehe. Plank vs planks mid air touching..... u have ask Fireup for detail :) ..
BTW, if you guys want to hate some plank guy here is some tip : Fireup , Airboss hehe

Netdog here is the direction for OCMA flying field From the 55 Freeway, take Chapman Avenue. Go East 8.2 miles. You will pass the entrance to Irvine Lake. Their is no access to the site form the lake entrance. Continue to a left turnout, the address on the sign is 5305 Santiago Canyon Road. The sign says Private Parks. Go down this road to the end and turn right and go along the fence in the roped off area. Stay to the right of the building
I am banned from NO SMOKE fields :(

It's all good, I am just trying to work with what I have out of convenience. If I can go to OCMA, see more heli drivers and not get harrassed about nitro then that works for me.
One guy got all bent out of shape when my heli touched his airplane. He was in the process of buzzing me as I flew from the upper site (on a hill) and our aircraft touched. My CF blade took most of his foam verticle fin off and his ship piled into the restroom. He was pretty livid to say the least. I have yet to see that plank again nor have I had any further problems with other plank drivers.
It is quite queer to see a guy with a $2000 Futaba radio and a foam POS airplane. How about a $160 Futaba and a $2000 heli? Isn't that the way it's supposed to be. Anyways, hope to see more of you guys up there.
Take the hill! :happyd :happyd :happyd :happyd :cheers

Yes, but the only spot off the street is full of plankers and has a big "No Trespassing" sign. I really liked this spot, but it's not worth the drive to get kicked out.
Start hunting for new flying spots everybody. Looks like we'll be needing them!

Too bad about the situation down there!
I've got my sights set on a field that I'm currently trying to work out a deal on and it will be perfect. I'll let everyone know IF I can get it to happen.
Went to Whittier today, not a stellar day but not bad either. Weather was great. No nitro to fly and it flys the best out of what I have. The 450s need some upkeep and replacement of worn parts.

I meet some new pilot today, super nice man, with a cute new 500. Thank for let me hover the 500 :) .
