******, i have not get my scorpion 8 motor yet :( . i am current fly the heck outa of hdx 3500kv cheapo motor.
What?? Didn't that company have the 8 motor in stock? u better hurry before it sells out too.

any of you guys that fly planks have any small motors you arent using? I'm finishing the layup on a 24" glass flying wing today, and i wanna make it go zoom :lol: should be pretty sexy. also, i might make a super-sexy carbon version if the fiberglass one works out :smokin:

o got motors, what kv are you looking for?? all mine are outrunner AXI. and around 800kv

im really not sure of what motor specs i need. the airframe will weigh ~4-5 oz, plus gotta add a pair of hs-55's, battery, and rx.
im also not sure if ill be able to get it flying in time. the layup i did last night came out like crap (voids all over the leading and trailing edge :() we'll see if i have time to make a new one

sounds likeyou need a 2208 AXI on 3s 800 lipo with 9/3.8 or 10/3.8 prop.this will give vert performance to 12 oz flying weight.

mmm...vertical performance...if you wanted to test out the airframe, i can probably get one done and bring it down. we can throw some stuff in and see how fast she goes :YeaBaby:
still funny that the prop would end up almost half the wingspan (24") with those props :shock:

thats right your building a wingy thingy, those need higher kv and small props so the can land, is it a pusher or puller?and be looking for power systems that use 5 - 6 in prop.

pusher prop, probably a 20mm hole to mount a motor in. i was thinking something along the lines of a GBX cdr motor to power it, but who knows

that is a great price for a cool but UGLY heli that needs skids. i would be worried about doing autos without skids.whatch out for forward movement and grass.

serious , you need stay with 1 heli ******, it better to fly and learn new move with the same heli man, when switch heli we need time to adap to different cyclic respond. it like some1 mess up the TX.
Airboss , i got test my new wing today at AP, the funjet darn too fast, i only flew 1 packs the other people flew the rest of my remain packs :) . i got a F27 striker before, but this muliflex funjet is alot faster, make me shaked, my plank skill not good as my heli :(

you will fly it this weekend :), i am using my trex450 motor on it. 3500 kv, trim it down to 80% max throttle. to match the manual 2700 kv .. but still crazy fast haha.. i will trim the throttle back to 100 % max for you fly her to moon :)

1 Heli??? Impossible. This hobby is too addictive to just stick to one only. That would be way too boring for me if I only stuck to one also. Its nice to try the latest and greatest thing out!!!!
I would of stuck with the Mini-Titan, as it was one of the best flying heli's I've owned, but then I wouldn't of been able to fund the HOT Mars 480. Im not rich like Airboss and can have a fleet of 50 planes and 13 heli's!!!! :)

you can just keep the mini titan and ad the Mars to your fleet. :) . ask Airboss for a loan man, he only asking 25% interest ...... ............... (/day) :)

3500kv will do go for it Bry. get a 5/5 prop and 3.2 prop adapter.good idea Lowflyer.and by the way interest is up due to higher fuel costs now at 27%.

F27 design for 2000kv motor on 3s. Trim your throttle down 70 % . I ran 420 l 3200 kv 100 % throttle with 4 6 prop. On f27 to go too hard on the lipo .. The 25a esc r fine bryguy, let do some dogfight :)
