I'll be at Gyro at 9. If you guys aren't there, I'll drive down to Panera. I have no idea where Panera is on Lake Forest. Is it by the Carl's Jr by the freeway?

I just bought a Trex 450 from a fellow on Runryder that I really didn't need, but it was too good a deal to pass up.

450 SE V2, been repaired, with crashed and new canopy, gy401/9650, 65hb's, esc, ar6100, motor for 440.

http://www.runryder.com/helicopter/t416495p1/

I just couldn't pass it. Dammit I'm supposed to be saving for a .90 or spending my money with Paul!

I Fn dumb thumbed my Synergy at Apollo field today. That was totally a dumb thumb. Damage was minor though, just the blades tail boom, tail grips, tail blades, main shaft, tail shaft, spindle shaft. Hope I will get it ready again soon.

I think I got no luck flying at Apollo field. :) On that concrete flying pad I have crashed about 25 times on both my old 450 and my Synergy.

Hi guys,

I used to fly nitro planks at the Whittier Narrows Recreation Area field by the 605/10/60. Just got my first two heli's (Blade 400 3D and CopterX). Now I'm in Irvine, and don't know where to fly. Unfortunately Ultimate Hobbies doesn't seem to have many heli guys. I didn't read the last 50 or so pages, but where does everyone fly? AMA required? I'm running the DX6i, so no frequency problems. Keep me posted, thanks!

The Irvine field which we have been talking about for a long time has just been closed. Now most of OC guys are flying at OCMA (www.flyocma.com (http://www.flyocma.com)). You could join in. They require AMA and club membership.

I'm ready to head south for Gyro Hobbies. My synergy will be ready again in no time. But my wallet will be beat to dead. F*** but it was dead already so no worries. haha :smokin:

WELCOME TWEAKRACER,

OCMA will be best bet if interested in nitro. dont forget big grand opening today in lake forest @ GYRO HOBBY

Kinda windy this weekend. No matter, I still don't have anything that flys.

The Raptor is coming back to life slowly, carbon boom and shaft installed, tail is almost done and the head is going back together as well.

I'm positive the head let go in flight, the head had blue dampers which are not stock, so a boom strike is unlikely. I would say the plastic head is only good for 1800 max, I was at about 1910. The crash didn't bend any shafts, main, feathering, tail, all straight. I replaced them anyways just to be sure I don't get any vibration from any of those spots.

Ok. As I, Tommy and Jim talked deeply about FAI, F3C flying style today I got these flying patterns for you guys. Lets open a contest to see who could do it!

Here are 3 basic flying programs of F3C:

Program A

http://www.rchelisg.com/upload/F3C/ProgA.jpg
Program B

http://www.rchelisg.com/upload/F3C/ProgB.jpg
Program C

http://www.rchelisg.com/upload/F3C/ProgC.jpg

And here are the 3D flying patterns. In some competitions, the pilots have to accomplish these patterns as set maneuvers or in-cooperate them into freestyles

Great stuff Long! When I get my sim back I'll try some of it.

My heli's are all down and my sim is down too, the cord was fubar'ed and sent it back......2 months later.....I might have it back? maybe...

To see everyone trying to fly same patend in f3c, kinda boring. The freestyle more fun to watch, because we never know what the pilots next trick is , always full suprise

i can do a bunch of the stuff near the top of the list, but as you get down, it gets a bit crazy though
