your mind is fine its your damn belongings we find laying all over the field that worries me. someone is going to trip and fall and then how would you feel? hey guys did we outnumber the plankers today? see you guys tomorrow, got heli?

I think there should be a finders fee, I could make bank and pay for my heli parts.:)

Plankers were NOT out in force today. There was a planker fellow named Matt with a 600N who came out and flew a bit. Said he's normally the only heli guy around and so he flies planks. When he saw us, he went and got his heli. Seemed to fly pretty damn well too.
We definitely outnumbered the plankers today. They tried to match, but had we not left at 4ish, we would've locked up the field, no one at the main runway at all.

Ok, here's Jason's flying. Sorry my camera skills is not all that and I had it locked in zoom. This is his second flight after I tone it down for him. His first flight was better but he said it was too fast!:YeaBaby:

What is the earliest time are you guys going to be at the field tomorrow? I'm trying to be there really early to get some flights before I have to leave at 11h00.

so kevin's flybarless 500.
I can say now that i would prefer a 500 flybarless over a flybar helicopter now based on the amount of potential you can get with flybarless. kevin's helicopter did fly alittle different for me as he set it up based on his preferences but i thought it had alot of potential to be a killer machine with flybarless. some have asked me already, kevin's 500 feels similar to a regular flybar 500 only during specific moves you do notice the helicopter more "locked" into its current position. it did penetrate the wind extremely well as compared to my 500 which i flew the same time. while kevin's helicopter was heavier due to the standard size servos, he was running a scorpion 1400kv motor on 15t pinion which made his helicopter feel much more powerful than stock IMO. i was running stock electronics with 13t pinion. how kevin's was setup, there was alot of cyclic and pitch, it did take some getting used to but i think flybarless on the 500 has a great future.
ps> if i lived closer to kevin, i would pay to be at his house everyday just tweeking one to my preferences just to release more of its potential!

Arbor park was nice today, not too many people...everyone @ ocma or something. Andy was there and said the white 425mm trex 500 blades will be in this week, Yeah! Also I got the new Kasama tail assembly for the 500! no more slop! I'll be back @ arbor tomorrow
Yea... we definately put the spank on the airplane crowd... When I went to retrieve my badge there were literally 6 guys out there, with only one guy flying... The others were sitting on a bench just shootin' the bull. We were graced with the presence of Bob Swenson... One of the guys responsible for getting that field up and running. Very cool, and nice guy. had the whole group with us, and he said "we have plenty of room for join ups" so if your thinking of joining an organized club, this is the one you want.... VERY HELI FRIENDLY

I wanted to come down but had to wait around for the mailman to deliver the 550. Rob's Hobbies does not open on Sunday. Is there another shop near Seal Beach/Huntington Beach/Garden Grove selling T-Rex parts? I've got parts to fix the 450 but not the right part ... Grhhhhh! Thanks.

I had a blast man... We stayed and CLOSED the place.... All the plankers left but the wind came up big time so we left just after they did.... I may have to join this club as i do love the flying site.

Great day yesterday guys! I really liked the OCMA field :thumbup:, just wish it was closer!:arggg: Great to see that no one crashed on the hard pack too!

Great weekend @ AP also, windy but everyone having fun :) . I got 2 stupid crash in 2 days . Sat , I went inverted in normal mode :( . Baam the heli went down, damage boom / flybar / mainshaft. Everything else okay. Today , I fly too far out with dark painted canopy, lost oriental, thumbs frozen :( . Taco the main grip, frame, main balde :( :( . On bright side, I am ok with backward figure 8 . How we this move?? Flying figure 8 in 1/2 normal tail down funnel and 1/2 inverted tail down funnel.
Dark day for trex 500 @ AP, too many 500 went down , serious injury

I did not smoke anything buddy :), probaly brain damage from witness too many of my crash .
Lucky me, Mike donate some parts and Kevin loan me his new main grips, otherwise I am not able to fly till Wed. Bulleyes/ Fireup you guys are greatest :)
Are you still flying @ carson halo?

I heard that field was Indian burial ground , and they don't like trex 500, I rename and put big fat logo on my 500 "SYNERGY E5" :)
NONE of sygergy helis ever, ever , never crash there hehe
