he is probably hard at work on it right now, most likely wont sleep till its done. it looks like a little synergy canopy, how come you dont like it kevin? it would go nice with one of your flybarless heads.

I will be at ocma tomorrow at 8h30 or earlier.
Tommy, are you going to the field tomorrow? If yes please bring your camcorder.

Long, do you have any gears for sale? I would like to try the 8.0 set up
Long Nguyen
04-04-2008, 11:55 PM
Yeah I have them. But 8.0 ratio is just for low power band motors (YS91SR). Your OS might not be suitable. Anyways, I will bring them tomorrow just in case.
Jim, you got a pair of landing gears? I broke mine due to auto'ing

Sounds like it's going to be a fun day, wish I can make it out there one of these days!
On the side note, who has the N9 and what are your thoughts? Is it a good heli for a beginner? I started into heli's back in Oct. of last year and already have the 450 v2, 500, 600E and 600N and have only flown a hand full of time LOL I picked up an N9 a few weeks ago just for the hell of it and I told Jay I'd buy one when they got them in. Thinking of pulling the electronics from the 600E (8717, 611 & AR9100) and installing it on the N9 if I don't sell it. Also, is there a MUST install part before putting it together?
Thanks,
Jody J.

most important N9 part is the hyperhub. the N9 is a sweet flying heli and now that GYRO stocks parts it makes it serviceable without mailorder.

I drove out to fly with you guys but couldn't find the site. Now that I've looked at the map again I can see where I missed it.
For those that have been asking for directions in the past, take a left after Irvine lake, that would of helped me a bunch today.
I'm not going to do it again.

Today was great. I got to leave early since I had to see my cousin near there. I burned a gallon without crashing.
Mike got his 60 sized Trex 600N dialed in and showed off his nice Vibe 50.
Jim cruised around with his Synergy N9. He kept saying he loves the Synergy. Me too!
Robert put his tiny camera on his logo and we got some nice video.
Tommy showed people how fast he can learn flying helicopters. He's doing tictocs now.
And here are the pictures that I took. It was cloudy so the pictures turned out to be not really good.

Welcome to the club man. You will love that heli. As Jim said you would need the hyperhub. You can pick one up at Gyro hobbies.

Is membership required to fly at OCMA?
What is the surface like (it looked very nice in the pictures, but is there grass, blacktop, etc.)?
Will anyone be there tomorrow afternoon (in the odd event that I actually manage to escape and fly on a weekend)?
Thank you all in advance.
Great day today.
Flew out 6 packs, got some vid with the Logo, flew the T-28 after everyone left and got some vid with that too. Always awesome to hang with the goats.
Here's today's heli vid!!! It sucks! Don't download it! You've been warned!

Met some cool older guys today too who were really interested in our helis. Definitely a black art to them.
Didn't get over to meet JonY before he left, but always good to see new faces.
Not as good as seeing old faces like Airboss, Bullseye1, BigT, and Long though.
Missed seeing Finless, Fireup, Lot A Fun, and Zguy.
Good to meet BenHeli out there as well.
Always a good day at OCMA.

anyone @ arbor park today.
I had to go out and paintball with co-workers today. I saw some loud plankers out in corona must be a field out where I was.
Flying tomorrow for sure.
Was nice to see friendly people at the field today. I got a lot of help from people that I never meet till today. Will get back out tomarrow to do a test hover. Glad to meet you all today that were there. Thank you AIRBOSS for your time and help.

Aox and Tommy, thanks for the encouragment that I too will be able to sport flying within few months. These guys can fly. :noteworthy Sorry, I can't make it down tomorrow due to prior engagements.

CDF said they were going to use our heli area for fire training and we didnt argue, so about an hour later they said go ahead and keep flying and they used them lower staging area just to our north. made for an exciting day of heli watching but the noise was overwhelming. Fishless , you are welcome to come join us today as fire will be using the other areas.see you guys out there, peace.
