they had mentioned to me that we can have one of the other tables if we need it and I said we may get our own. this was last month. so I am sure we can have tables. we should also be getting shade , donated by Gyro hobbies.

Ron mentioned the shade thing, he told me if we brought our own canopies we can store them in one of the containers on site, I have one and will leave it at the field for all to use until/if the new ones show up. I would love to have a local club, with a pit area so were not a rag tag bunch of guys flying from the back of our cars and trucks. Once again I hope OCMA does not regret letting us in the door. either way I'll get a verbal okie dookie from them and the plan will be to bring them out on Sunday.

Tables are in stock, cleared Sunday with the family. just waiting on the word from Steve (OCMA President) sent him an email. If any of you guys have his number PM it to me and I'll just call him.
If you guys are serious about a formal club that inculdes the west side guys, we can talk about it on Sunday. If the OCMA boards aproves the tables I'll be there around 9am and stay till the tables are built.

Forming an official club is a great idea. I will be definitely a member. So what is the final name of the club?
And now look at what I got today:

Looks great Long. :YeaBaby:
The club looks like it's coming together nicely. :smokin:
Maybe some day I'll be able to find it. :)
I can only imagine how hot it gets out there in the heat of the summer.
For those that have been to Robins field, what he did there is awesome, basically a tin roof supported by galv pipe over picnic benchs, love the shade and protection from flying objects. Protection from the elements probably helps the picnic benchs last longer too.
I'm excited for you guys.:cheers

yup it will get hot but no hotter than Tajunga or the basin. it may be a little more humid because of the lake. but I'll take a wet heat over a dry heat anyday...the thing that will suck is the bus during the summer. there all hiding right now.

Long,
The heli rocks. I'll see you and the Eastside boys on Saturday. Sorry Gene & Jim. my left ring finger just has 7 stiches, thank god it was not from messing around with the helis, otherwise I'll be more than happy to help with the tables. Hey, I can always buy drinks ... no alcohol, thought.

got the ok from Ron so i'll be out there on Sunday with the new tables. We can talk more about other things to come...like real flying stations, designated parking area things like that. If we do decide to take it as far as AMA, we will be given a vote at OCMA meetings.
So think about it guys, if your wanting to join/create a club and wwe'll kick the can about it on Sunday.
Gene
Will not make it on Sat. Need to work last min. See you guys on Sunday. I hope people will be there. Would like to meet more of the club. See you on Sun.

I was cutting a piece of wood with a handsaw when I slipped and sawed into the finger tip. No horrible heli incident ... not yet any way. :YeaBaby: As for the crash of the 450 after I left you guys on Saturday: broken see-saw, bent main shaft, bent fly bar, broken tailboom support, broken servo bracket, broken blade holder and a skid. The parts came in this afternoon so I'm going to put the heli back together tonight and tomorrow for more crashing this weekend. :wow2: Gotta luv this hobby!

Anyways try to get your helis ready for Saturday.
Jon Y,
Are you the guy with the Raptor 90 I helped a couple of years ago... YS that was tough to start ?

Nice canopy!!!!! Makes me want to start building my N9 :) Also, are those v-blades paddles? If so, does your set screw run flush with the paddle? I bought a pair for my 600E and it sticks out like a sore thumb!
Thanks,
Jody J.

those V paddles are like that, the stubz are a much better paddle.
JodyJ
04-11-2008, 12:04 AM
I also bought the stubz for the nitro, but Jay only had one set so I bought the v paddles for the electric. I'll try the v paddles and see what happens. Are you running the stubz? If so, are you running the weights too?
BTW, what's the fees for the club?
Long Nguyen
04-11-2008, 12:13 AM
Yes those are V-paddles. The stock metal things are junk. I used the thunder tiger ones (come with the raptor 90 plastic paddles) which are much stronger with 4mm set screws. They fit nicely into the V-paddles.
The stubz are superb but I think the V's are a little bit faster
Lets get yours ready man, you will love it as Airboss always says "I love the Synergy!" all day LONG...haha

Thanks Long, I'll have to get a set.
ha ha ha. Have to sell a few things from my race car or sell the 600E before I can fund the N9 :(
