Yep, real carbon. Frames cost $139.

The YS50 was sent in over 3 weeks ago to YS Parts and Services. I don't know why it takes so long for them to fix the motor. Another guy Gene that would come to our funflies last I heard was waiting 5 plus weeks for him to get his YS back from service. YS motors are awesome, unless they need to be service under warranty.

there must be a long list of people getting repairs for this motor, or they got some serious defects to work out. 5 weeks is out of control, considering you can completely overhaul that motor in 15min.

Hey guys, how tight do you tighten the screws on the blade grips of your heli's?

Do you have it so tight that there is binding and not silky smooth?

Somebody is telling me that the screws need to be tight, and that in flight, the tighteness on the blade grips goes away. Can anybody confirm this? I always use a nice gob of loctite and tighten the blade grips just enough to let the grips flow nice.

if you make it so tight that it binds then the heli may not center itself on spoolup, find a nice snug setting and the blades should be tight but move smooth. what do you use the loctite for? use a nylock nut on grip bolt. glad to hear about the YS .how much for the OS??

I'm still trying to determine a good price for a 1 tank flown OS Hyper 50. Probably around $165.

What a great day at Irvine!

Met Long, he's a great guy! Airboss and Mike were out there, I got a few minutes low wind so the shogun had a great flight today. Saw three different Synergys just TEARING up the sky. Drooled over Airboss' Logo 500 again... I think that may be the bird for me... Got a flight in with my T28 after Airboss left. The wind was crazy so I came down and watched Long fly his Synergy one last time before two new dudes showed up with a couple T-Rexes. Saw a couple boys flying some newbie powered gliders off in the distance, but the wind was a little much, and they both walked back to their cars with wings split in two. Poor guys.

All in all, a great day. Had a great time hanging out, BSing, and watching the nitros fly, and my little 'gun is flying like a champ.

Time to go work on the Mini Titan!

I would have made it out there but was too damn SICK with this cold to make it. :(

Here at my house it was WAY too windy and I am sure Arbor would have been too windy too. I guess the wind was a little lighter down that way....

Nice work Low, I hear ya on the wind, way to get the flying in early. I brought my bird to work, we have a lot of empty wharehouse space thats great for indoor flying, really builds the skills when you are confined to walls and support pilons.
