AVRO BLITZ is the sweetest heli, but, how bad would a earthly attraction dent the wallet?
next weekend I'm having a Synergy swapmeet at OCMA...has anyone got some Cool Power I can borrow?

toro

Yea.. you have to borrow it, because you bought all of Ultimates. You bought all of Gyros. You bought all of Pegasus'... etc.. etc.. etc... They are going to have to up production once # 3 is up and runnin'

hahaha !!! dont worry... I'll be there shortly... summer is on the way and that means $$$$ just gotta git some hills to burn first.

I hate to admit it, but I flew the runway today  I did notice the nice tables over by the heli area. To whom do we owe our thanks?

toro

Tables go to GENE... several of us helped erect them. OCMA B.O.D is picking up the tab for tables...

shhhh ... dont tell anyone, but I sometimes fly on the runway too.... I like it better than our area. Its fun to do sliding autos on the long runway.

Guys.... guess what? Andy told me I will be getting one of the first 700's to do video and testing... YES! Thanks Assurance RC!

Airbung.... Your gonna want one so better sell those otheRR 90's you have ;)

This heli is going to be lighter then hell and disk loading is going to be one of the BEST 90's out there. Gene.... Trust me man... You want to wait for this one.

So you all know it WONT launch publicly until end of May. They want testing and pilots to fly it a lot so they find any problems first. Honestly after looking it over... I don't see anything that would be a problem except for the need of a lower 3rd mainshaft bearing block.

This heli is going to rock and I can see it just looking at the thing!!!! I think I will be at OCMA way more now that I know I will be getting one soon.

BTW the Avero at Gyro Hobbies looked cool but CRAP... $1500 for the kit and NO parts support? I mean... Ummmm Aaaaaaa... What are they in business for? NO THANKS...

All I can say is I have a Lotus Esprit, so isn't it natural that I want an BlitZ Avro...I'm sure I'll be getting the T700 but can't a man dream... I also heard somewhere that the US Rep for Blitz is the issue for them not being every where which sucks...

That is the start of it all! the rest is just paper work and a couple bucks for proccesing fees and its done.. after that not sure what it takes to be part of the OCMA group of clubs but that is just a phone call away.. I heard a rumor that OCMA may have something to do with the Prado site next year. It may be a dual site club soon.. That is just a rumor though..

Once we become a chartered ama club. the OCMA board will vote on adding our club to the 11 delegate clubs that share OCMA and get 1 vote at the board meetings, pretty much a formality with the vibe I get from both Steve and Ron.The Prado Dam Site, according to Ron is in the works, Membership at Blackstarr field will be valid at Prado, but that's next year according to Ron.

Once we get a third officer maybe we should meet up for lunch or at the field, We can have 5 officers if anyone else wants to lend some time.

OMG..... I left flying at Prado because of 2 members out there and one of them specifically! Lonny Anderson! If that means he will be coming to OCMA and starting his crap there.... Count me out and I am not kidding.....

I hope that the rumor DOESN'T happen as I can see the OCMA getting sucked into Prado (PVMAC) politics :(

Bob

Bob,

OCMA, is not a "club" it's a private field shared by 11 AMA clubs each club has 1 vote on all issues at OCMA board meetings. Hopefully that means that one club can't overpower the entire decision making process. So PVMAC would only get one vote. Once we have our club up and running we get one vote also. The board of OCMA wants to keep a pretty low profile as the land is still Irvine company's (at least that's what I've been told). There is also a membership cap for OCMA, So even if you belong to a club, you need to be a member of OCMA to fly. I think at the moment the cap is set between 250 and 300 active members. When I signed up there was a little over 200 members who renewed this year.

I have a feeling we're going to make membership to OC Heli very low cost if not free (you will need AMA), and membership to OCMA is 100 per year with a one time 50$ signup fee. In short OCMA is designed to keep bung holes like Lonny from causing too much static...I should have joined OCMA, a long time ago and bypassed the ****** nightmare...

Toro knows Lonny..... trust me..... Anyone that flew at Prado knows who Lonny is and probably had a run in with him.....

Anyway I like how OCMA works then. Lonny probably wont ever show up since it looks like he could not impact anything anyway :)

I am going to have to join OCMA since I will be getting a 2nd nitro soon.

Its Lonnie Morrison,, "King dip shit" you could say I know of him.. He has some cronnies that still support him. Dont worry about the Prado deal it will work itself out and if it does you will have to thank LM cuz he is the root cause for the hostile take OUT! Whatever, lets get the club started and get legite with OCMA then work forward from there..

Oh yea... Morrison not Anderson.... See thats how long it has been since I flew at Prado because of that looser and his cronnies...
Heli flying at Prado just plain sucks and HE is the reason heli guys are still in the back dirt tiny lot. How Fassbinder enjoys flying there I will never know. Back when I was a member Jeff and I and a couple others tried like hell to get helis better set up there. No go.... The president at that time (Joe Terror) started letting us fly over runway area like planks. Guess who that pissed off? He then went to a board meeting and had that changed back and nobody could do anything about it.... Lonny's son was a board member at the time. Well that did it for me. I left.

Bob

Bob, he wont come down this far. most of the guys who hate him are at OCMA and he knows this. He lives up in Upland somewhere. He's already established his dominance at Prado. I dont think he'll leave that.

Lets talk about why I cant fly jets there any more also....
