Hes a guy who sets up his planes, never flies, just sits and yaps at you from the pits. He has some valid concerns at times, but the way he conveys them is less than personable. He is mean, and mean spirited. Grumpy, and caustic. Just a real thorn in the side of people enjoying themselves. Its his way or the highway, and when one of his cronies breaks the rules, he looks the other way.

Typical old political guy. This guy had a special meeting alloted as 2/3 of the membership wanted him out. He rallied his cronies, and the bleeding hearts let him stay in the club.

So I think we've settled on tenitivly on OC Heli for the club name any other names to be thrown in and while your at it anybody good at making logos...even if it's just a concept of a logo my wife went to school for 3D animation so she's a wiz at putting ideas into reality (she made the logo on my web page http://heliholic.com/.

Well OC Heli is pretty plain and it's also very close to Bulldork's club name OCHC. I bet he gets all twisted up if we use that.

OC Heli works. It's a little generic though.

I like OC HeliGoats. But I've been calling all my friends goats for years, so that probably only makes sense to me. Could make for a cool logo, that stands out a bit from the crowd. OCHG, something like that.

Now, why exactly are we doing this? To have a say? I didn't have any problem with having Ron throw me into TMAA, which is a defunt planker group that doesn't require dues. He did that and I was at OCMA that weekend. I like the idea of having a say, however.

Count me in if you need bodies/headcounts.

BTW there is a local club here in OC that is free. I don't remember the name but it is one club used by people to join OCMA. Jack Cleveland (jack726) is a member so I could ask him the name. He said I could sign up without even any paper work junk... Just an Email I think.

PVMAC is not loosing there contract. it is up.. They have a five-and-five and the second five is up.. Per all county contracts any and all that want to lease the property have the chance.. If a group or groups was interested in leasing they had to get there 350.00 bucks in to the county.. One group did just that. They put up a whopper offer on the monthly lease. 5 or 6 times what the current club is paying.. WE will see what happens I'm sure they current BOD is working hard to keep control of the property.. The best part is the only reason they are bidding aganist PVMAC is LM.. That guy and his cronnies are complete CANCER!!!

So another club or something is trying to take over but the flying site will still be used for flying? Or did someone place the bid to use the property for something else? e.g. no more flying?

So if the answer is yes still flying just anopther club, your saying they are going to kick LM and the cronnies out? Can they do that?

Yes it must be used for flying. Yes another club is bidding for the property. Yes most clubs are private and most clubs can allow or disallow any member.. At one time PVMAC got rid of LM and his bunch of A-holes but because of some other A-holes and the mis reading of the bylaws (All sustaining votes go to the majority) he and the other two should have got there walking papers.. Oh Well water under the bridge.. I would love to be a fly on the wall when they loose that facility.. The new club will have the right to deny any new member.. OCMA has that right so do most clubs.. If I havent told all of you already "STAY THE HELL OUT OF RC POLITICS" One of my favorite things about heli flyers is they seem one to be much younger and two stay out of the BS better then the FOG's.. My last visit to OCMA I about got in a fight with some FOG carrying a stick threating me cuz he walked out on the runway.. Dam I hate old A-holes.. I dont take anymore BS from them I dont back down and I talk back Big time.. F'm I dont have the patience to deal with them cuz being nice to them is like playing with rattle snakes you do it long enough your gonna get bit....
