How early do you guys get there in the morning. I am able to get out early tomorrow, but since I need a member to buddy with I didn't want to arrive alone.
BTW doesn't nitros rely on batteries for powering the servos? I haven't seen any alternators on helicopters yet. Just a thought:nanabobo
no alternators but they do have generators on gassers.we usually get there around 9.30

Gyro hobbies is a nice shop. Did they recently get under new ownership? It has been remodeled.

gyro is a great hobby store, our good freind Paul and his family went into partnership with the original owner. he has done a spectacular job of making Gyro Hobbies a first class LHS. they are stocked with all the best helis and planks along with a killer selection of engines and radio accesories.thanks Paul and the rest for a classy hobby store!!!

I got one of the balls broken off from one of the servo arms on my Synergy while I was doing tictocs. I had to cut the engine mid air and watched it dropping like a brick from 20 ft off the ground. The tail went straight into the ground and the whole tail hub was totaled. I don't know what the deal with that Apollo field, I just keep crashing there.
So those who have the synergy, please watch out for these balls
I'm gonna use the Thunder Tiger balls, which have 2mm screw going through them, on all the servo arms

you may have over tightened it, or it could have been fatigued from a previous incident. thanks for the heads up and I will check all of mine.

yes it's true. It just fatigued due to too much strain from previous crashes but I'm still quite disappointed.

the 9451's and I had no chance to auto. I knew that I could not auto since I could not control it any more. I just let it drop and tried to stay away form people.
that's alright. I will get it up soon.

Hey even though it was, HOT, DIRTY, WINDY, I still had fun...
Got to test out the carb smart and can highly recommend getting one to folks that want good engine tuning all the time.
We got to Arbor later int he afternoon and cooled down. The wind was blowing in the normal direction from the ocean. WEIRD to have Santa Ana winds yes close to the coast have offshore winds. Never seen that before. Usually if there are Santa Ana's the coast is dead calm.
Anyway gonna have to try OCMA again next weekend.
Hey who is that guy in that picture Mike? Is that airbungholio?
And Jim I don;t care what pictures you have, I didn't fly no JR heli ;)
