Arbor had winds until about 1:00 then it died and about an hour later we got onshore winds that were pretty much normal. However it still was like 100F... My Jazz ESC on my logo500 over heated and shut down to 1/2 RPM and allowed me to land.. I love that this ESC has thermal protection as it didnt kill it.

Anyway the afternoon turned into a good day at Arbor.

I had some A/C, but I got food poisoning or something, I was down all day Sunday doin the top and bottom water fountain. TMI? Yep... My girl got pissed off at me when I opened the windows at 11:30 at night. Can't run that damn A/C 24/7 yet, its only freakin April.

Was good to see ya out there Saturday, Brent, even if it was too windy for the Crimson Wolf!

Had a great time Sat. Good to see all you guys :) Hanging out with Heli nerds is a nice change from all week hanging out with computer nerds.

Hey, I represent that remark! who says you cant run the AC all day and night? isnt that what its for? dont worry guys the weather dummies say its cooling down this week, we could use some early june gloom. you werent supposed to leave that sandwich in the sun all day before eating it!.. BenHeli had stomach flue and passed it to you. lol. sorry its not funny. any of you guys want an AC system tune up give me a PM, special rates for freinds.

I got one of those high eff. A/C's installed when I moved in 9 years ago. I think the house needed a 3 Ton and I opted for a 5 Ton, not sure what that means but 5 is bigger than 3 and it cools down right quick and pretty darn quiet. new doors and windows helps too. I spent all night on sat. (till 4 in the morning) and all day sunday working on a craft project for my wife. she made a chandiler that looks like a bunch of tree branches from 22gauge steel wire, and has 120 bright white LED's providing the lighting power, that's where I come in. guess who had the task of stripping 30gauge solid core wires for 120 individual leds, all the while breathing in toxic solder fumes...even with a hepa filter sitting next to me My lungs still hurt. God bless the factory workers, tasked with the job of putting all the electronics for our Helis together. My Protos starts shipping to customers this week, just in time for my birthday next week.

Bob, you want to do a build video for the Protos...?

Gene, you got a great AC system, and 5 ton? wow thats got a capacity to cool a 2200sqft home, then upgrade windows means your not throwing away your money. does that solder contain lead? most dont these days but the resin and flux will kinda disturb your respiratory system . WTF is a Protos?

Nope no lead, thank god....but the flux resing burning sucks....lungs are better now but this morning I hacking up some nasty stuff...

The picture below is the Protos, It's made by the guy that makes Gorrila gear...It's mostly plastic, weighs about 3lbs fully loaded and is the size of a T500...Think, mini Logo...I'ts driven by one belt. I PLan on putting a scorpion 1000KV motor in it and running 6S....should be fun...

She's pretty.

Sorry Aox, but I gave Jim the wrong info. Not a stomach flu but food poisoning. I've been drowning down pedialytes for the last few days and is still hurting ... but not hurting enough and attempted FFF and had a boom strike yesterday on the third FFF. The lower main frame plates buckled and shifted about 1/4 inch to the left on the 450SA.

Bummer Ben on the boom strike...

BTW all you Spektrum guys....I have found the best pricing on RX's on the net (IMO)....

go to lightflightrc.com and you will find the best pricing I've found...picked up an AR6200 for 80bucks with tax and shipping.

Spektrum AR7000 80.95
Spektrum AR9000 143.95
Spektrum AR6200 68.95
AR6100-ENDPIN 40.95

You can get close to these prices ordering out of state, but sometimes you need to order a min. of 100bucks to get free shipping...and at these prices you can get them shipped and taxes paid for the same price or less than ordering out of state.

I want a 7100 for the 600N.

I'm going to use the 401 with a 9253 I have, I'm currently using it on the throttle for the 90, Im going to switch to a micro servo for the throttle and plan on using a micro servo on the 600 throttle as well. Not sure why they design them to use a full size servo? Very little torque is needed and high speed is not needed either. I think high speed just wears out the links faster.
