View Full Version : Official OC california heli flyers
Hung out with Long all day today, had a great time BSing and he pretty much built up his old, my new Synergy.
Maiden hover looks like it'll be the afternoon of the 17th.
I have all I need except a glow driver, and a pitch guage to finalize pitch settings. Need a pipe plug and few glow plugs too. Got 3/4 gallon of juice, a pump, and a starter/one way from Long.
Long did a fantastic job installing my Spartan, the 9254 and the 8717s. 8900 on the tail for a servo. Super super clean install. Didn't even request it, but he totally took over and installed all the gear.
Here's the beast! Her name is Smoky :D
She's freakin beautiful... sniff....

we sure have a large Synergy fleet here in East OC, sure beats the H out of those norelco shavers over on the west side.hehehe!! we got to do an all up picture of all the N9s, now if I can figure out how to fly 3 at once.
hey Long you are going to miss this place , and that heli. who needs a Trex 700? huh.we got 9s baby coming out of our ears.
who is going to venture off and build a gasser? I have seen some good set ups with plenty of power. and lots of $$$$$$$$.looks like a job for Mad Max.

Yeah it is a bit lonely , but damn that Raptor sure runs good. you got that heli dialed in !
I just finished mounting all the servos and routing the wires. should be ready for first run tomorrow. 2 new custom canopy's from my buddy "Fumes" but the paint isnt dry yet.

he doesnt like the N9 cause they didnt give him one to fly , he would be singing a different toon then.got some new colors, check it out.

you old guys like to leave early don't you....go there at 1 and it was a ghost town....it was a very good day uintil I planted the head of the T6 into the ground...damm thumbs....well...maybe next week I can make it out early so I can hang with you old guys...how does it go...breakfast at 5am..nap at 8am... lunch at 11am... nap at 1pm... dinner at 4pm... bed by 7:30pm.... :) you guys have hours like the old plankers gone by noon....

I was at the field 7:15 with Paul and Rob from Gyro's, early day today, thats why we left early to go to Gyro's and pick up more goodies ;)
just finished installing the Kasama grips and the 4mm flybar hyper upgrade on the Synergy, it looks sweet.

hey Gene that nap time is important. hehe. all the guys were there 2 hours before i left my house. I think they spent the night.only made a few flights and headed for Gyro for some goodies like Mike says. I got me one of those 4mm flybar sets . My new 7000 Rx is NFG it gets bind and receives signal but remote Rx keeps blinking. good thing I got a spare.

Man, I wish I could of made it out this weekend, but I'm stuck here in Vegas! Hopefully next weekend I can finally make it out to OCMA :)
I'm going to Carson Monday morning to fly with Jay and Halo3. I'm going to test out the Hyper Torque Tube that I got from Paul (THANKS again!) at Gyro :D and then hopefully install the YS91SR and Hatori 19 pipe!

Put the super stubz on tonight, 2 grams lighter than the red paddles, slightly smaller though.

FYI, I am selling my lipos for the trex 600 also may sell 600. all offers considered and just let you guys know before I go classified. time to downsize the fleet dont need the razor any more it just gets dusty.
today the new N9 with YSsr91 power got a gallon through it, and this new improved version is powerfull and light.got stubz and 4mm flybar CYsb mains..
A good deal for someone ;, N9 with OSszh and all the goodies going up for sale also.

that was awsome ! did you notice they were moving downwind at wind speed. the heli smoke was just hanging there and the friggen ship is going 10mph. too cool.

Dude that is balls! Flying like that over the ocean you know it is gone if it hits.. Man and right in the sun like that to boot. Where is the wheel barrow the guy needs for that sack of his? I am at work so only watched the first minute will finish it tonight.
I was worried trying to hover mine 2' off the ground inverted to get a good picture yesterday. :roll:
