View Full Version : Official OC california heli flyers
Such a good vid :D Love it!
Got a freakin N9 at my house just dying to fly.... this is going to be the longest week ever.
For my V curve, in the radio, Long said 45 mid, 100 high. Does this sound about right or should I really just get a gov?

Get the multigov if you can, all my 3 nitro's running with the mutigov, never miss a beat.
I think 45 in the mid is way too low.

We need to try and adjust it while flying it. 45 is the starting point. See you this Sat.

Man you might be over-speeding your engine. A typical v-curve for a nitro is 100,78,63,78,100
For who just gets into nitro, this is a really informative website: http://www.raptortechnique.com/index.html
Aox, Gov is a good idea but not necessary. 45 sounds just a hair low.... You would have to tach it @ zero stick in idle up to see what HS is doing... 1900 or so should be fine for the 90. Than bring it to hover in idle up, and check again... should be about the same 1900 with light load. Adjust curves as necessary to get that constant head speed.
It all sounds good.
Got another glow plug, a glow starter and charger, and a pitch guage. Picked a canopy too.
Long, when you get back, I'll have your canopy for you. (unless I crash mine :P )
Or if there's anyone else named Nguyen Kim Long flying for Team Vietnam, I have your canopy!!! :D
All I need now is a butt plug for the pipe, and I have all my basic accoutrements!
Have I mentioned I CAN'T FREAKING WAIT TILL SATURDAY!!!?!?!?!??!
-Aox
Mine might be here by Saturday also. I need to program everything in it though.

Nice canopy, Aox. Long and I have the same last name but I'm no where near his flying skill so I'm not on Team Vietnam.

Sorry Bob, it was Mother's day weekend. If it was Father's day weekend I would have been there.

LIAR ! .... You lie like a rug ! :)
There was lots of koolaid to drink though ! J/K... I like the way that koolaid tastes.
Seriously though... It was cool. There were 4 (synergy) that I counted. One guy from Colorado tore it up with his. By far though, there was like 300 600N's, 3 700N's, a handful of AURORA (the team pilots), and like 3 raptors.
love poopoo
Man, Finless, who at Synergy RC pissed in your wheaties? You seem to have a grudge against them.
I sure feel bad about snagging a hot Synergy when I coulda bought a TREX700 or an Aurora!
OH WAIT!!! I CAN'T!
heheheh

I got the same setup with 2 in 1

2in1 should be fine as long as your links are not tight and nothing is binding. People get in trouble when things are stiff or bindy as these servos can draw some serious amps.
