I'm in mourning over the loss of the beautiful weather. 70 degrees yesterday, 30 today, and snow tomorrow...

I saw my buddies 500 v-bar fly on sunday, that thing is crazy! I swear it was rolling inside of itself.
I'm having a hard time here, The nitro stuff doesnt really bother me, The electric helis are cool as hell. I think that the Logos are the best helis bar none! I'm having a hard time getting past the expensive batteries and the cost of the V-bar electronics. I'm thinking about maybe going the route of a flybar model and upgrading to the V-bar head later. What do you guys think? I'm thinking that by the time I buy a trex 600n and outfit "properly" and do a few updrades that it more than likely needs, I probably would have spent more than I would have on a 500 3D w/flybar and a battery or two?!? Any thoughts?

The flybared 500 flies excellent, very well indeed in fact. I say if you like the design and the flight abilities go for it and look at the Vbar later, I think the flybar version will suprise you. I find my 500 extremely nimble and quick on cyclics.

Oh,,,, outfitting a 600N, going to cost you as much ore more than 500 plus a few good lipos yes indeed. You will get a few more mins of lfight time out of a 600N each round yes, but you will get no wheres near the power to weight as the Logo that is a 100% for certain.

That's the road I took with my 6003D and I must say even with a 401 gyro I'm VERY happy with this heli. I'll be upgrading to a V-bar in 3 or 4 months.

I'm leaning heavily towards the Logo, I like the idea of being able to refuel and fly and not having to wait for batteries to recharge but I think I'll get over that quickly when I'm flying my OWN Logo and not watching someone elses! I gotta be honest, I think the Logo is the smartest design I've ever seen. It makes all others look like dinosuars.

flybar version rocks! i have one 500 w/flybar, and i love it. V-bar is the next level up, i agree, but this heli is certainly no slouch in any way with the olde worlde metal rod with fappy bits on it.

V-Bar is insanely cool though, got on in my shed waiting for the day my 600 comes, which will be ages as i just spent $1800 on a plank...silly me!

1800 on a plank? What are the details for that kind of cabbage? I assume over 35% in size?

One of these things Shawn, hoping to fly it in the US next year at some pretty major comps!

I do have a trex450. If I were to buy a nitro it would be a trex 600n. I'm coming back from a 2.5yr hiatus and I'm using the 450 to get back in the swing of things, I want another bigger heli and I like the Logo but I dont know much about the big electrics, sorry if I'm bothering you guys with stupid questions!

Not bothering at all! We're all just being (as usual) a bunch of smart-4$$3$

You won't go wrong with the Logo or the T-Rex, but my preference is clearly the Logo. Now I just have to figure out how to justify a Logo 600 on top of the Logo 500 and T-Rex 600 ;)
