Any feedback from anyone who has upgraded from the plastic frame to the carbon frames from either Gaui or Readyheli? Good and bad points?

I have the Gaui CF frame. I like it. Only wierd thing is, there is no specific mounting place for the ESC like the plastic frame has.

I CAd a piece of wood in the same location as the plastic one and used velcro to that.

So no-one has flown the Readyheli frame? I'm really keen to see if the futaba 9650 servos are up to the job.

going by the ready heli videos i'd say that the 9650's are more than up to the task

I'm doing a build with the Readyheli frame right now, using the 9650's. The frame looks great and the 9650's certainly fit well in the frame. I won't have all the parts to finish the build for another week or so, so I'll have to wait until then to let you know how I think it flies.

The frame is super TIGHT. Everything is cut exactly dead nuts on, but very tight. On most of the tabs, I ended up very lightly sanding them with a Dremel. My hands are a bit sore from trying to press all the CF pieces together. ;)

Thanks,
Jason

Thanks for the feedback guys, I am almost ready to order the Readyheli frame and servos (plus a z-power z30), but it is a big investment, and a bit of feedback from someone who has flown one would be great. Almost nothing left to upgrade after this!

I will try to get one this weekend.

Nothing special, I took a tongue depressor type epoxy mising sttick, cut it to fit and CAd it to the battery mount. Then stuck on some velcro.

BTW I have found velcro that will fit through the stock frame holes to attach the packs. I don't like the zip ties. I have enough to probably offer sets of ties (I had to buy a couple of rolls).
