The hdx 450 aluminum mounts is available at HD.
Oops. This is for a HDX500.

I think they have the same boom diameter.

no it's much bigger boom for the HDX500. The one for HDX450 is only 12mm.
We should get tail servo mount for S9650 in about a week for HDX500

I mounted the S9650 in the body frame of the HDX500. There are two size option mounting points for the tail servo in the frame , so why would you need a boom mount for the servo?

For balance issues. Some guys are running heavy packs on their HDX500's.

Some guys are running heavy enough packs to use a 9254 (401 standard servo) of their HDX500 to offset some 6s packs. I hope to get some video this weekend to share.
Stay tuned.

Just a FYI:
We produce 12.0mm, 12.8mm, and 15.0mm CNC titanium grey ALU tail boom servo mounts which will work on the RC-TEK, Align, Dragnous, and HDX heli's.

However, we will not have "normal" retail stock regarding the 15mm mounts for a few more days.

Like lotus asked. Why use a boom mounted servo with the HDX500? Charley is running a 9254 to offset a 4s 3700 and it CG's fine.
I will try to shoot some video of Charley's WICKED HDX tomorrow.
Just an update. I got some 15MM boom mounts from RC-TEK, and with my S9254 mounted on the boom, with CNC tail, and my 4S 3600 pack in the front, its balances perfectly.
If I had put it in the frame, I would be nose heavy......

Glad it worked out for you. The Rotorworkz version of the HDX500 will have battery tray options that will allow more s and the ability to balance the machines without the need to put your servo on the boom. Stay tuned, the RW version is in testing now.
