I have been giving some thought to building Logo that uses the Neu 1910H/1Y, 8S, 500 FG canopy, 600 mechanics, carbon boom cut for CY 600/CY92 blades, 500 gears, essentially replacing my Trex 600. How light would this heli be with battery?

Here is 8s on 610's 25C EVO's. I wasn't on it the whole flight, let it breath and took it easy so not to pop the Jazz. Head speed was 2300 and some change. I also had someone with a tach on it during the flight, he said it didnt change much while in tictocs.

The Jazz will thermal with the canopy on, just too much for the poor thing.

As for weight, I havent put mine on the scale, but it feels light in hand and in the air.

I have enough 600 parts to build another heli. I just put together an 8S 4900 25C from 2 4S packs, 1004 grams. It extends 1.25 inches from the front of the frame, looks like it'll clear a 500 canopy. I have a 1910H1Y, servos... except for another Vstabi.

So I think I'll order a 500 FG canopy and a carbon tail boom. I just need to determine belt length to fit 600s. Cus I live in Texas CY 600s are plentiful.

Maybe I 'll call it a Logo 599, because it's not quite a 600.:rolling

What gearing should I use for the 1910H/1Y "1050" on 8S with 600mm blades? 17 or 18 Mod .5?

I would think the 17T would be enough HS for 600mm blades.

I started building Logo #2. It will be 600 mechanics using 8S long packs powering a Neu 1910H/1Y. The boom will be a cut down carbon boom 700mm long, using the 684 belt. I intend to use only 600 length blades. I will be using alulinum belt tensioners to try to reduce static on the belt.

The pack in the picture is a pair of 4900 25C 4S packs put together. As you can see from the photo, it fits nicely, and is much shorter then the 4350 in the other Logo. I think the 500 canopy will also fit. Just waiting on a few more parts.

I'm courios about your test.

This because i had a Trex600 8s 4300mah and 1910H. I was thinking to put this electronics on a L6003D vstabi but finally, not sure for the result, i sold the lipos and decided to go with that motor on 6s 5000 on a L500 vstabi.

The 500/600 8s "park flyer" is ready except for the boom. Everything is programmed, motor and servos checked, Vstabi configured.

I will be trying 2 different batteries I have assembled from 4S packs. I hope the balance is correct with a 690mm carbon boom and 500 canopy.

Pics of 10S and 8S batteries

4900 25C 8S 1008 grams
5350 17C 85 954 grams

What monster speed control is that? It looks like that 90 amp Common Sense RC monster?

Tomorrow I get to test fly the 599. It is mostly a 600 with 600 length blades, 8S power, 500 gears. Hopefully a little more "park friendly" then the 10S 600.

I ended up using a Raptor 90 carbon boom cut down to 690mm and the 686XL belt. The boom weighs 50 grams. It balances well with an FP 8S long pack.

A couple of unique items are aluminum belt rollers to see if they will help reduce static, particularly with the carbon boom.

I am using a CC 85HV again, they say the have updated their controllers to handle more static, and a CC BEC in front of the tail servo running 5.1V, instead of the Emcotec regulator.

It is nice setting up number 2. Hover 5 seconds, check headspeed, idleup hover invert, check nose direction w/ flips, check roll axis, plug into computer make a few adjustments, fly...

8S w/ 600 blades and the shorter boom flys great. Not as fast as the 10S 600, but for 3D, it has an awesome power to weight ratio. Nice and quiet too.

The 5350's are nice when you want to fly for 8 minutes but I noticed the weight right away. Personally I like the the way the bird feels on 10s 3300-3700 and 5 minute flights vs the heavier 5350 8 minute combo.
