Start around 2 turns or a little more out. Alterneate between hovering for a minute or two and sitting on the ground at a high idle for a minute, if its a problem keeping it in a hover lean it a few clicks. Keep up the hover/land thing for a tank. The backplate should be cool to the touch at any time during this flight. Lean it 3 or 4 clicks for the next flight or till the engine starts to smooth out. Keep an eye (well finger) on the backplate you want it to start to get warm. Start flying around a bit just dont load up the engine with aerobatics. If the backplate is still cool during this flight slowly lean it till its getting warm. Lean a few clicks on each subsequent flight. What will happen is as the ring seats the engine will run cooler for a given needle setting. When that stops and the temp stabilizes then the ring is seated and you can have at it. Should take 3 or 4 tanks if you do it right. Running a ringed engine so rich that its spitting raw fuel out the exhuast does nothing to break it in its got to reach temperature w/o over heating.

There's a T-Rex 600N Pro video that covers engine break-in:

I hate you, I hate you, I hate you...!!!
Man, as I'm havin' my morning coffee, looking out the window, I see the frost laying on the grass and field...
Last weekend I was only able to fly with 4 layers of clothing...
Then the video starts and I can see Bob in Shorts and T-Shirt out in some warm place...
Winter sucks...
On the more serious side, I always enjoy those videos, getting to know new things, having confirmed what I know, learning tricks and doing things an easier way, always a pleasure and well worth the download...
Thank you! :)
Cheers,
Daniel
