Hey guys, I just got my FIRST EVER electric RC helicopter. I have no clue whats going on, I have only flown toy helis. I got ESKY Belt-cp. I have very basic stupid question. I hope experts here can help me. My questions are:
1) I dont see on off switch on helicopter (i know you might laugh at it, but i am really confused). Do i need to manually plug and unplug battery in helicopter every time i want to turn heli of and off?
2) Charging battery: similar question. Do i everytime need to take off canopy, remove battery and charge it? Or can i leave the battery connected (by connection wire)..and use the charging wire to charge (while other wire is still connected)?
3) What is that wire hanging off the receiver? Can i cut it? Or is it like antenna receiver wire? Can i roll up the wire and tag it? Or should i unwind and let it lose hanging around? looks ugly with wire hanging by tail.
4) In the receiver what is Hov.Pit and pit.Trim dial? I am sure this is little advance. But does anyone have link where it teaches me what are hov.Pit and Pit.Trim?
I really appreciate your time and detailed answers guys. Help a wannabe heli fan pls

1. No switch. Please make sure the transmitter is on before plugging the battery in.
2. Above should answer, but unplug, remove the battery then plug it into the charger
3. Most have the antenna wrapped around the langing skids. Neat and functional
4. Not sure about the receiver settings.
5. Look around and read some before flying. This can be a frustrating and dangerous hobby in the beginning. Consider a structered learning method such as Radd's. A google search with "Radd's and heli"will get you to the right place.

another question is : everytime u need charge, u take off canopy, take off battery and then charge? or do u just fly without canopy on?

You fly with the canopy on so, yes, you do have to take it off to swap batteries and then and put it back on for the next flight. Typically, the canopy goes on before the electrical connection is made to the battery. There's usually a hole in the bottom of the canopy through which the ESC and battery wires are run; you plug in the battery with the canopy installed and then stuff the wires up through the hole to hide them.

hey guys, i just charged my battery, plugged it in and just wanted to try it out. I put a bit of throttle. The main rotor spins but tail rotor doesnt spin. That cant be normal right? Is there some setup i am missing? Its ready-to-fly model.. did i get a faulty piece? Thanks

I see.. after further inspection i see belt is in both front and rear pinions.. But when the front pinion moves, the belt does nothing..seems like belt is too loose. How do i tighten this up? anyone knows? Do i need to return this and get new one? Is this normal? Even if i tighten it, i dont know if its going to be right tightness.. Any suggestions? or any general suggestion on how to tighten this? Thanks a lot.

Hey guys, i fixed the tail rotor problem. I was loose belt and i tightened it by extending the tail rod/boom. I got the simulator.. and started practicing on it. After a while, i really couldnt resist trying to play with real heli. I plugged the battery and then started to throttle up a bit. And then when i thought it was going outta control, i suddenly dropped the throttle. And then i heard crashing sound, that was my blade hitting tail rod/tube. That should have never happened right? Even when i suddenly drop the throttle? Haha.. this heli thing sounds like really hard thing to learn.
After i looked at the blades. Blades are really drooping. Shouldnt they be kinda parallel to ground? Is that how it is? I mean when it rotates, seems like they are parallel. But when i stop, they droop down. I will attach pics. Can u experts pls look at these pics and tell me what i need to do. Now i am thinking i got too complicated machine for my first ever helicopter. But i will try my best to catch on. Thanks all for your input.

Maybe because of that blade alignment (in pictures i posted below), my heli doesnt even go up. Even at 60-70% throttle.. Kinda sorta gets 5 inches hover above ground and drags itself left/backwards.. I dont know if its me or the heli. Sucks.. wish i had a teacher.. Anyone from NJ? haha..

Don't fly this heli in this condition. You will only damage it more. Your feathering shaft is bent and you need to replace it. Also check you main gear. They tend to get striped on the Belt CP. If you have to replace it get Esky King 2 main gear its much stronger.

Nothing looks right on this from the pics; as previously said the feathering shaft is bent, the cannopy is all twisted as are the landing skids and if you have tightened the belt by moving the tail rotor then the tail servo linkage will be incorrect. I knew nothing about RC Helicopters 4 weeks ago but all the answers are on this site it will just take some reading to get familiar with everything and some patience,
