OK, Anyone out there convert a Bergen to flybarless yet? If so was it worth it? I would think a Gasser would benefit the most by being lighter and less power requirements.

Chis, want to experiment with me in this project? Have you already done it? Any advice is appreciated.

I'm thinking of getting a CSM system using 2 SL 720s. It looks like converting the head is simple. Direct connect the blade grips by removing the hiller mixing arms and replacing them with a ball, then lock down the washout. Probably need to change out the existing servo horns with smaller wheels to get more resolution and less throw. Then the rest is electronics.

I'd love comments from those who have done it or would like to do it.

Lou,

I did it on my Raptor50 in advance of my EB. Like you said, direct links from the swash to the grips. You need a swash driver. Reduced throws on the servos is right.
Don't know that you'd gain that much from weight/drag reduction. I didn't really notice much difference on the raptor. However, you do get a much more responsive cyclic system. Pluss, you can change the dampening effect with the gyro electronics rather than with the flybar.
One day, I'd still like to do it on my EB. I want to put a multi head on it, though.
