Hi All

My Bantam BC6 balance charger won't balance my Airthunder packs. The charger always times out, with all three cells out of balance.

I've got two Bantam BC6 chargers and 5 Airthunder 11.1v 2200mha batteries, so isn't an isolated case.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

What charge rate are you charging at? What is the time cut off set at?

Hi Evan

Thanks for the reply. I'm charging at 1C...that's 2.2A. And my cutoff timer is set at 120 minutes.

Just seems so wierd because it's a great charger and I love it. Just having this problem.

And how low are you draining them? The farther you go past the 80%, the higher their tendency to be significantly out of balance. That appears to be the nature of the AT packs.

I read that somewhere too. But I stick to the 80% rule anyway. They are unbalanced when I start charging them...but for some reason the charger just can't seem to balance them before it times out.

Not sure what's happening, my KongPower (essentially the same as AirThunder) charge just fine on my BC6.

* How much charge is going back into the packs ?
* What is the pack voltage coming off charge ?
* Have you tried running a second balance cycle to see if they will ultimately balance ? If so how much additional charge is reported ?

Any final result? I may have the same problem.
