mars 480 heli special

hey guys i just bought mars 480 heli from Hobby lobby and togh i share that they got a great deal on this heli half off so you will get it for 199.99
i was thinking about getting this heli since first came out but they where over price, but now that they came down i bought one will see how it flys
pss. some people may think this heli is ugly but i like futuristic stuff i think that is what made me buy it ;)

i'm with you on the looks. looks mean. the design looks promising too. at $199, i'm having trouble not buying one, but i've already got a hurricane 550 project going right now. doesn't seem like too many freaks have had 1st hand experience with it.

I always thought that canopy or the Poseidon canopy would look good painted up like Alien's head. That would a mean, nasty looking helicopter.

i will try to paint the canopy once i got it built and flew a bit to know that i like it

This is such a great deal ifor $199 that I gave in to try the Mars 480 myself.

I got my poseidon long ago. Its a great heli. I love it, way better than my Trex SE V2, my trex se is the older kind with no thrust bearing.

Gazaur 450 lineup have two looks; one mars, one poseidon. Both the same performance wise; just look different.

I personally like the subtle look of poseidon.

That's a heck of a deal, I'd buy one in a second if it weren't for the cost of spare parts. The standard crash stuff isn't too bad, but you better pray you never break a frame. They really think a lot of the frames at $66 for the lower side pieces, and that's not even the whole set. If you crash hard enough to break the frame and gear, you're over a hundred in those parts alone!

Cant wait to grab up a mars body for my heli. I have a few scheme ideas going on, and as soon as I take a nice, close look at the body mount locations, All systems go! :wink:

From what I was told the landing skids fall off really easy so the frames don't break.

That looks very nice. I got the silver version. hard to pick which Gazaur 480 to get.
Here's my bird, Yuyu did the canopy for me since I helped him with some translation on the forum. I loved it.

Gazaur would KILL the canadian market if that's their standard canopy for all shipment to canada!!! haha. I bet many of my friends here would buy them just for that canopy alone.

Yuyu also did an american flag version. Which also look wicked.

Man, those canopies are nice, no matter how ugly the canopy is all it takes is a litttle bit of paint and some imagination and to turn it into a show stopper.
