Hi all,

I currently have a trex 450 and I'm very happy with it. I would like to get the 600N. All that I currently have for it is a DX7. Could someone write a list of what are my choices? (servos, gyros, engines, mufflers, governers...)

And would it more interesting for me to get the Pro? Can I just buy the Sport and upgrade parts when I want: i.e.:torque tube :YeaBaby: (it would be less money to invest when I crash)

Thanx all!:YeaBaby: :noteworthy

the difference in the boom aft in prices between a TT and a Belt (if you break the belt, which with my luck i always do lol ) is only $2 or 3 but you might not break a belt all the time, so it kinda depends...

instead of us writing a list of all the choices.. just go to heliproz.com or ronlund.com and start looking.. theirs ALOT out there

Hi

The 600 really is a super heli, I would go for the pro every time, it dont cost that much to replace the TT , but it makes up for it with the smooth tail operation and ease of setting, with little adjustments, I have never needed to adjust mine , But when flying my Raptor I find that the boom moves a little which puts the tension out on the belt.. The pro comes with some nice cnc parts and carbon frames , oh and not to forget the really well done canopy..

Go pro , if you go for the sport you will wish that you had gone pro when the guy next to you shows of his.

I would recommend whilst building to fit a Alu fan (the align one is good) with a set of Gov mag even if you dont intend to use a gov to start with, also fit a gov sensor too this will save you some time and the hassle of taking apart your heli at a latter date ( I didnt do this and to fit a gov sensor I had to pull the engine, bell housing out just to fit it ... )

As for other parts servos, gyros . I would suggest to get the best you can afford .

Dont forget your starting gear, and fuel lol. .. .

I've never dealt with a torque tube, but when you have a crash involving boom damage, what are the parts likely to bend/break? A bent torque tube for sure, but what about the gears? How likely are they to strip? If you have to replace the torque tube and the gears, you're talking about a $43 repair vs. replacing a broken belt for $7. (The boom will probably have to be replaced in either case, so it's a wash.)

No one here that i know of w/ a 600N has taken out the TT gears in a crash.. just bent booms and TT's..

I would get the pro if you don't crash a lot because the TT can be expensive to fix.
As for setup: Os 50 hyper
Align Pipe ( you will love this pipe if you do 3D)
As for servos it depends on how much you want to spend.Futaba 9452s are around $75 each they are ok servos.
JR 8717s are around $100 each. They are the best that you can buy. The difference between ok servos and awesome servos is about $100. $75 if you use a 9452 on throttle.
For the Gov I use a multigov I love it. All you have to do is put in your head speeds, gear ratio and end points and fly.
I use a Futaba 611 but there is other gyros out there that are just are pretty good. Such as the JR 770 with the Jr 8900 and the Spartan DS 760, solid G
For blades get the align D blades.
Necessary upgrades: Align metal fan
Align metal grips (not necessary but advised)

He wants to say that 30$ for the TT isn't that much compared to a new set of blades or else...
