I finnaly found some loktite. Now I watched Finless' thredlock video and he said to use Blue on anything that goes into Metal and Wicker type green on minor things. Red was not really recommanded except for Cooling fan on a trex 600 (I don't have a trex or a cooling fan on my motor) I got Locktite 242 (medium strenght, blue color), Locktite 290 (Wicker type, green color) and 222 (High strength, red color). Mainly use blue stuff on the head and body. Now what kind of grease would you recommand for the head? Silicone grease?

I want to start assembling my heli together finnaly. Geting sick of the sim and I want to try my bird. Been siting here with all the parts and extras with one or two parts missing, It will be complete purchase of everything next week. So I would like a shot to fly soon.

I use 242 for just about everything on a heli. The 290 would be used for someting that you can't take apart, but want to get some thread lock in there. Not used often, but when it is needed, it is needed.

Red is not used on helis. I use it on cars for things like wheel studs. Red requires heat and excessive force to disassemble. NOT good on models.

I also keep 609 or 638 around. These are used to secure non-threaded things, like lockinga bearing in place. But I don't use it very often. Ifyou had a 600 with torque tube, you would need some for the TT bearings. I also use a drop on putting collet propr hubs on plank motors.

Cool thanks. I thought the green stuff was good enough to hold bearings and such things in place. If not I'll just pick up some 600 stuff. Its cheap enough here.
