I finally got around to editing and resizing a recent test video. This is one of our very few flying fields in hawaii.
AUW is around 12lbs with the video camera. Normally I shoot stills with a DSLR and whole rig weighs slightly under 13lbs. It flys great tho, and i am still getting used to the AP2000i. Its great finally having a slider to adjust gain. I had one of my old videographers come down to operate the camera mount. He has never done it before and was just playing around. For some reason, he kept pointing the camera at me
anyway, here is the vid:

The total flight was over 8 minutes, and we did two back to back flights. the slightly longer 2nd flight took only 2600mAh out of a 5350mah Lipo. I wish I could make the quality better, but imageevent is only 10mb max.

Lots of power - looks good. The video guy did settle down in the end

At nearly 13lb, I thought it flew well. More successful than my last flight anyway... :bawl

Tell monkey to slow down or put in some expo ;)

I need to buy a better radio for the mount, or one that works right. I'm using a 6EX air, but some of the channels are mixed up. So I cant dial in expo for certain channels. Do you think its the RX?
I also need to be more deliberate with my flying. I have only been flying helis (or anything for that matter) for under a year, so I'll admit that I have a lot to learn. especially with AP. Tearing up the sky with my play 600 is alot different. Also, I am a photographer, and this machine was built for photography, I didn't really plan on shooting video. but its good to roll tape for practise. Without the AP2000i, I would have been all over the place! :D
thanks for the comments :)
