Ron Lund's Annual Fun Fly where "Fun is the name of the game"
I am really looking forward to this one, I have my plane ticket already purchased. :)
I hope to see as many FREAKS there as possible. You guys come on down to CC and have fun!!

Last year was the same dates, and from what I heard it was pretty good. I think TX had the same unfourtunate weather that we had here in Florida.
Hopefully it will be better for everyone this year. :thumbup:

I will be there. Had to come to the event after Ron's reopening with him as the owner. LOL
Haven't been since 2000 and always had a blast.

not planning on bringing my keroburner as I will be flying out...too much of a headache...

Should be, I am on the wait list for vacation but should know by the beginning of the week. Either way I will be down early Sat or Friday night.

It would be so cool if Helifreak could do something like the flyinggiants do with a webcast of the event. Just walking around with a camera and having the pilots talk about stuff.

We do that now, just not "live" ;) We have talked about it but what about all the folks that are working, not in that time zone or have other commitments?

Charles and I just got in. The Marriott Courtyard is awesome.....still smells new. The Hotel # is 361-808-8400.......address 5133 Flynn Parkway Corpus Christi.

Yes that is an HD TV and their is a nice charging station. All I can say is best room I have stayed in. 2 queen beds..............Even a flat screen.

Well several of us were at Ron's shop from around lunch time till about 6:30PM. Already about 20 people here for the event. Wind is blowing some, but temps are in the mid 70's and forecast is the same for weekend. It was great to see Ron and Nathan and the gang at Heliproz South again. Nice to drive up WOW road and see Ron's name on the side of the building. They have stock of parts and kits stacked to the ceiling.
Should be a great event. Ron said he is expecting close to 200 pilots. Some of the big guns are here and should be flying tomorrow.
