I have an Intrepid 50 which I recieved in a trade, and I don't know if the tail drive belt I have is the stock one. It is a heavy, stiff black belt which really adds a lot of drag. I put an X-cell limited slip drive on the main gear to give me some tail drive during autos, and now have zero room for error during autos, even with the limited slip barely engaged. Can anyone tell me if the black belt I recieved with the heli is the stock one?

If not, will the stock one work well with a driven tail?

If it is the stock one, is there another brand which will work better?

I took inventory of the different belts I have, and it looks like a raptor 30 belt is the best fit, but I would need a longer boom to use it. Can I cut down the boom from the Intrepid 60 and use it on the 50? The 50 has a 21mm diameter boom, what is the dia. on the 60 boom, and what is its length. I need about 2" more lenght to be able to use the R30 belt.

Thanks for any help

If the tooth pitch of the Raptor belt will fit the Intrepid pulleys, the 60 boom is 31 1/2" long and could be cut down to fit.
