hi
I'm definitely interested in this heli.
So, at grandrc.com I found this combo:
http://www.grandrc.com/inc/sdetail/101374
I can choose from "basic kit" or "XES Pro Kit", which costs another 179$.
But what is the difference between "basic kit" and "XES Pro Kit"?
Since the "XES pro Kit" isn't the one with the full CNC head.
Or, are there other good offers?
thx!

the xes is the one with the cnc head. the xes also doesn't come with the motor or esc. those are the main differences. i got the xes a few weeks ago, and it's impressive. well worth the extra $, and having to get a motor/esc of your choice.

From the pricing and descriptions, I think they mean SE or CFS. Since the 3rd option is listed as XES with full CNC head. The XES HAS the CNC head. The SE and CFS don't.

I got a xes pro also. Its well worth the extra money for the CNC head.

I have the Century 600 plus motor and Align 75 amp esc. Most folks seem to favor the Century, Z-Power or RCP 1100kv motors for max power.
Readyheli has the Century and RCP 1100kv motors for sale at 75 bucks. That seems pretty good to me. I paid 100 bucks at Readyheli a couple of months ago for the Century.
Watch the classifieds for a Align 75amp ESC from a Trex 600 kit. They are pretty reasonable price wise and seem to work well.
You will probably also want to get the Trex 600 tail assembly if you will be doing 3d or hard flying. The stock tail unit has been reported to lock up with the more powerful motors. It's 16 bucks at Readyheli.

I would recommend no less than CC60. I currently fly with the Align 75A ESC and took quite a bit of data with the Eagle Tree recorder. Certain maneuvers draw more than 60A easily. I originally wanted to get a CC60 ESC for my setup since I already have the Castle link cable and 3 other CC ESCs, but decided to go with Align 75A ESC to save some money.
