would this motor and esc be a good power system for my 550? the reason i'm leaning towards venom esc's is that i've heard bad things about castle.

this is the esc i was originally looking at, but after hearing some things about castle i'm no longer sure. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXGVS3&P=7

another reason i'm looking to get both the motor and esc from tower is that i have a couple hundred dollar gift card to use up, and the century motor looks to be the only one to fit the bill that tower carries. anyone ever use the electrifly rimfire series? tower has a boot load of those too.

The problems seem to be with their HV line and runing at 10S or higher.

so i should be good using the century 600 motor and the castle 60amp esc running 6 cells? or should i go with the 80 amp castle?

I have the Century 600+ motor that I got from Readyheli. It is very powerful. Can't comment on the esc's. Readyheli currently has this motor on sale for 75 bucks, a great deal.

^ yea i saw that. i think it's funny that a company as big as tower is selling it for $110 and readyheli is selling the same motor for $75!
